:( I'm Hearing that some Forum Member's, are dissapointed about some of K & C New WW2 Sets; because of the Difference in Size Comparision? I feel that, on an Assembly Production Line; that some of the Sculpture's aren't Consistent , with producing the Exact Size! For Example: The NEW Arnhem 6-Pounder Gun Team; 2-of the Figure's, are really quite small, and the 3-rd Figure is about the Right size? Also,on the Size of the 6-Pounder Gun is also Quite Small! I know that this Gun was Originally Small, but I think it should have been made a Little More Beefier! I have been using Solido 105 Canon', and it seems that it works for me as far as using it for a 6-Pounder Gun or a 17-Pounder Gun! I Hope to show some of my Personal Picture's, of this Solido Gun! I Hope Andy , would watch this Quality Control Toy Production's, with much more scritinizing! Also, my other Theory is that the Chinese , are cutting down on the Metal?

Hi, commodity prces have been out of control lately (oil and metals etc.) More smaller items might have to be made in the future to keep up with costs..

Perhaps but that is not an acceptable solution to existing lines.

:( You Guy's should take this Toy Production Size Variation's Situation, up with Andy Directly, and Hopefully he will give you an answer? Like I said before, ( I 'ONLY' Collect 1/30th and 1/25th Scale WW2 Toys)! If I wanted to Collect 1/32nd Scale, I would have gone over to Britains and other Similar Toy Companies!

I started collecting KC for the 1/30 scale and even fell for the Crusaders in the 1/32 scale.

And NO, you cannot match Jeanne D'Arc with the crusaders, she is too big.

I personally don't care that the price of raw material has gone up.
This is already an expensive hobby and I know that we collectors want the best in the right size and colour.

There for I believe that KC must not cut corners; to deliver the real stuff at a quality level we know and are used to.

PS stop me from starting a poll :)

I dont know what figures you have in your K&C Crusader Collection - but, Jeanne fits great in mine.

Hey John, did you know that the Solido 105 Gun is 1/50 scale  :D

This is not an acceptable option as most of us have rather extensive 1:30 scale WWII collections.....I believe that K/C has an obligation to their customers to maintain accurate scale especialy within particular ranges.....personnaly I will curtail purchases if inconsistency in scale becomes the norm.....

I saw the new Germans today in tradition of London. And maybe they are a little skinnier but its not enough to put me off buying them. The painting and sculpting are excellant, and as some of the figures are kneeling crouching i don't think it makes much difference.I guess if the size difference is an issue for collectors you could position them away from previous German sets slightly,i just don't think its a huge problem.

I never said it was and "acceptable option"!!! I was just trying to give some possible explanation for the alleged smaller sizes,, Though i havent seen them myself, and there is still no conclusive proff that they are smaller, until we hear from an expert on scales..

Well, you really should care the price of raw materials has gone up, because that adversly affects every economy! And if the industrialized countries start having double digit unemployment rates,, no one will have money for this "expensive" hobby.. So sometime in the future, K&C might have to make some adjustments with there products..

I think the point is that reducing the scale of an existing line or period cannot be justified by changes in costs. If anything, the consistency in scale within and even between lines should be improved, not degraded. Also, I sincerely doubt that the size discrepancies noted here would offer sufficient cost savings to offset the rise in raw material costs. Simply put, other options for dealing with these changes should have priority.
