Two Airborne officers discuss the forthcoming drop with 'Buzz Buggy' in the
background somewhere in the UK 1944.

Is this a new release that I somehow missed??

It will be available soon Brad, there will be a small initial release of 4 planes followed by a top up order later on for those who miss out or who want to spread payments.

What kind of pricing are we taking about, four figures? {eek3}

Guy,

I think past practice has been three months.

$1,100 is definitely a great price. Others would probably charge two or three times that.

If you have the room, that would look great with a lot of paratroopers trying to get on board. Ahh, the room, always a problem :(

I was thinking the same :if I make a dio with this marvelous bird, where shall I put it ?

Awesome looking skytrain! Would love to add one to the collection.

Here I am standing in front of a real one in Mobile, Alabama.

Thought seriously of trying for one of these. Beautiful models and great price. Then I though "steady lad" you have a1/72 scale Corgi version
in storage for lack of space. Chris

Over how many months can one spread the payment ? I am seriously interested in this bird
guy:)

Guy the final price for this plane will be $1200 as we just had final price back from factory and extra charges were levied for the open rear door and rear interior.
Hope that does not put anybody off but the extra detail is well worth it for a very unique model.

I hope there is a rear door ????? open or not it should be attached to the fuselage so that you can display this aircraft on the air field door closed !!!!!!

Poached Duke's pic for a comparison above. Darn, TG's model is nice. And having the open hatch would make for a nice display with figure sets. I don't know if anyone has ever manufactured a figure jumping OUT of Dakota's door, but this would be a great place to put him. My only problem with a piece like this is that it scales out to a 38.2 inch wingspan. I'd have to hang it from the ceiling or vertically on a wall face. Still, a beauty though.

U5 was the marking for the 81st Troop Carrier Squadron, 436th Troop Carrier Group flying from Membury on D-Day. They dropped the 101st and during Dragoon dropped troops over Southern France.
