Sneak Peek (1 Viewer)

Is it just me or the figure with glasses have the wrong peak cap? he appears to be wearing an SS peak cap, but with Whermacht uniform.

Yeah, noticed that too, it does look like a skull making it SS but then he has Wehrmacht collar patches and a cufftitle on the left sleeve. Kind of a questionable combination, but I guess I'm willing to cut them a little slack because since this is an experimental testing unit behind the lines there may have been some unconventional uniforms going on. It would be interesting to know what source they're using for these V1/V2 figures because it's a pretty obscure subject and I don't have any books on them.

And yeah, echoing everyone's comments, I think Figarti has just taken the lead in this industry in terms of facial detail painting. The major jump forward first occurred in the V1 sets, and continues with the figure that came with the Panzer IV (I skipped the tank but won the figure loose off ebay). Amazing details and shading on all of them - well done Figarti!

So my question is, did the V-1 program have any specialized vehicles like the V-2 Command vehicle?

Good Eyes!!! These figures were pulled from the paint room to show Pete & Shannon, not completed yet so the peak cap emblem were not finished.

Rick,

Is there any more items coming out for the V1?

i want to finish the V1 series before pursuing the V2, and the V2 is running out fast!

Hello Rick,

I'm very sure the V-2 is almost sold out. So if your not going to wait for the new black and white paint scheme one that's coming. I wouldn't wait if you want this camo scheme one. ;)

hi IXEC,

its a big dilemma for me, as i wants to see the figures that comes with the new V2 before deciding which one to purchase, but on the other hand, the camo V2 is selling like hot cakes.

if only i had space for 2 V2's but that will drive my family crazy!

I can see you dilemma Nasirkasmani, you make a wise point.

But as I read Peters "sneek peak" post, he was not really sure if the B&W scheme V-2 would be coming with figures? He only knew that there would be a new 4 figure add on set.

So you have to wonder what will be with the future V-2. It would be great if we knew. How about it Rick or Pete, could you give us a new hint?

It just might be too late to get the V-2 as it is apparently sold out from the dealers now. If someone still has one for sale, please let us know. If you are thinking about getting the Figarti Winter soldiers that go with the Panzer tank, you better pre-order them as there will only be 60 sets produced compared to an edition of 100 for the tank. Good luck with the collection.

Isn't there going to be a second version of the V2?

Be rest assured Alexdakar,

there will be another V2.

What Beaufighter meant was that the camo V2 is virtually sold out, so is very hard to find.

I agree, but a contact has said he had a few left, but he didnt know for how long (that was 2 days ago) so i'll better check with him!

if there's really any extra i'll inform you guys.

sincerely,

nasir kasmani.

I understand the second version of the V2 is the black and white one shown in Peter's picture and the close-ups are some of the new figures that will either come with the new V2 (you can tell they are V2 figures since they are looking up) or be packaged separately so collectors of the first V2 can get the new figures.:)

Steven,

If the figures are packaged separately, then the camo V2 will be a more sound choice for me

However, if 3 figures are packaged together with the V2, and some others are add ons/packaged separately, i will go for the new V2.(as i think it was a historic event in the advancement of warfare).

I think someone mentioned earlier in this thread that 4 of the figures may/will be packaged separately. if this is accurate news, i'll definitely buy it, 2 will go to my V2 diorama, the other 2 will go to my V1, which is lacking some other accessories in my opinion.

Assuming Steven is right about the figures being sold separately, I am definitely buying the new V2 figure set, as I was really impressed with the "sneak peak" photos of them on this thread.

Same here. I don't want the V2, but those figures are spectacular and I can use them in other scenarios.

Cheers

Hi Guys - We just got back to Minnesota and my mind is trying to figure out a 13 hour time change, so hopefully this will be coherent.

The new V-2 will come with three figures, which will not include the guy with glasses.

The guy with glasses will be offered along with the 3 figures as a set to be purchased seperately for those who want more figures to go with their original camo V-2.

I believe that the guy with glasses will also be offered with the 3 figures from the first V-2.

The only 'duplicate' will be Van Braun, which has a different sculpt and paint job (but unless he has a twin brother probably wouldn't both be at the same V-2).

Somewhere I have pictures. I hope to sort them out in the next day or so. We have one showing these guys looking up at the V-1 on the launching pad. It works well!

Thanks for all the sneak peak info Pete!

But let me get this straight. According to your description 5(?) V2 related sets have been announced so far:

1) Camo V2 with three figures (including Von Braun)
2) Black/White V2 with three different figures
3) Supplemental figure set "A" with glasses guy and the three figures from Black/White V2
4) Supplemental figure set "B" with glasses guy again and the three figures from Camo V2 except with alternate Von Braun?
5) Fire control vehicle

Is this an accurate breakdown?
