No mate i'm gonna get 2,change the turret number you can never have enough grey.
Did I read the release right and there is going to be another grey TIGER ?

WS216 "Tiger 1 (Early Production)”

This particular Tiger, the first of two “Early Production” models is #”213” belonging to the famous Abteilung 503, the 503 rd. Heavy Panzer Battalion. This grey, battle-weary veteran has already seen some “hard-action” on the Russian Front. Both track guards have been lost and its missing a front left wheel cover!

Another unique feature is the rear baggage bin behind the turret… “cannibalized” from a Panzer III. This allows us to place this tank operational in Russia between August and November 1942. A shirt-sleeved commander completes the model.

Off the website ??

Wayne, it says in Dispatches the first of two early production models, so a good chance both will be grey??? This new baby is going to look just superb with the Kubel/Stug/222 and anything else that colour{bravo}}

Hope you're feeling better mate and glad you got your Grey big cat.

It mentioned a front left wheel cover missing off the left side road wheel but I don't see it. ?

I might if it had a big hole blown in the side of the turret and the tracks blown off by a Firefly and it wasn't grey......{sm3}{sm2}{eek3} but seriously if you like things WW2 German it is a must have.

Doesn't look too safe does it, you'd need more than a hard hat to go study the underside of it!{eek3}

You know that's a good idea, I was given 1/35 Panther by Jack that I have to do something with.

Yep , wouldn't be standing under it hey.

Here comes the rivet counter again.
If this Tiger is an early production Tiger 1, where are the Feifel air cleaners ? Can't see on the picture if the road wheels are rubber rimmed ( also a feature of an early Tiger). Without Feifel air cleaners one should place this Tiger in december 1943 or later. This is the picture that K&C based its model on tiger02z.jpg
the K& C tiger 213 could be used as the 213 belonging to Otto Carius( 502nd schw. panzer abt.) ( add Zimmerit on the cupola). His unit was equiped with Tiger 1's early and mid production types. He was commander of the 213 until the 20th of april 1944. Switched to the 217 when his own tank was damaged .

indeed Feifel air cleaner systems were usually present in early tigers.....

Yeah Rob, i'll grab one but i would prefer a white washed winter version than grey! (sorry WayneWA). Waynepoo mate, i have said it before but i'll say it again, you know you want one and it will look good on one of your dio's lying sideways with your Sherman Firefly or Cromwell (or both) cruising past...
