The Reconnaissance Begins

A light Panzer reconnaissance force scouts a ridge overlooking a British position

Further back, The Panzers wait for orders

To the East, the British clear mines from the road leading up the ridge to allow a reconnaissance in force.

Nice Terry. How do you like the K&C Panzer II model and figures?

Hi Terry nice set up mate,i like the rock formations near the mine field.Hey does the bike come off the Figarti tank??

Nice job Terry. Seems like just yesterday the Panzer II was issued.

Great work! It gives me hope that someday I to will have a display of No.Africa. Instead of a bunch of stuff in boxes in the storage loft.:D
Thanks O.C.

why did you use corrulgated cardboard as a desert base? seems a shame to display expensive models on a cheap base or is the display in transition, sorry if i sound cheeky, but i had to ask, when an alternative in keeping with your models must be available.

That is exactly why - it's a temporary base so I can create small dios and see what bases, mats and foliage I need. I have 28 of these small display shelves but only 5 full size mats and an assortment of 6"x6" bases to do parts of 4 or 5 more. Add buildings and defense works and you can see it will be a gradual and expensive proposition.

I thought temporary bases looked better than the glass shelves and I'm likely to improve as I make more.

Terry.
