Here are a few images of the buildings while they were under construction. The 'logs' were cut from #1 clear white pine and then 'hewn' to create the scale look.

Your work is inspiring and daunting at the same time. I can almost feel the joy you get from creating these lovely pieces.
I am totaly impressed that you made these buildings from ordinary squared off pine. The effort you put into that task has certainly been worthwhile.
Could you tell me how you made the thatched roof. I read somewhere that some of the original Hougoumont farm buildings may have had thatched roofs at the time of the battle of Waterloo and I was toying with the idea of creating one of the barns with a thatched roof. Obviously if it's a trade secret I fully understand.
Do you know if Figarti will feature your buildings at the London show in Decemebr? I truly hope so.
