Kiss Me Goodnight Sergeant Major - By George Formby...

Yes - he was the originator of that old chestnut - sung in drunken splendour by many a squaddie ( including yours truly), on the odd occasion that I had a teensy bit too much dry sherry - after evensong!:wink2:

Good night, sweetheart, till we meet tomorrow - Rudy Vallee

Probably sung by GF in his time^&grin

Not that I know of M, but picking up on the "We" in your choice......... (lovely song, by the way)..

how about............ We're going to Hang out our Washing on the Seigfried Line = by our Lancashire Lad?;)

On the outside looking in - Flanagan and Allen

Dare I say it but I've never been a GF fan, more a F and A fan myself ^&grin :salute::

Of course you may - but this is an open game............

I just love the corni-ness of all of the songs by George - though I do admire his bano/ukilaylee playing. The songs/videos that still exist - are just so FUNNY - and may be seen one day - as a typically British response to the Wars that happened during his life-time. He WAS a huge Star - at the time - even having a Chauffeur driven RR car ! - way back BEFORE even I was born!!!!! jb

So................. Sitting on the Sands All Night - by George Formby .......is my next offering.^&grin:D

On the other side of town - Flanagan and Allen

Keeping it nostalgic {bravo}}

(As long as you're not in love with anyone else) why don't you fall in love with me - Flanagan and Allen

No20lilimit_zpsb18acf75.jpg
