My Spartans are waiting to test their battle skills.

Thanks Gents for the comments and likes. As you can see, I'm badly in need of some opposition for the Spartans and the photos were to prompt Thomas
Gunn to respond with some information about when we would see the Persians. They certainly responded with those impressive figures to be released and
more to come. The background rock formation is from Atherton Scenics and is a great product. I made the low rock walls by glueing stone pebbles. When
the diorama is reinforced with the Persians I will do a more comprehensive photo shoot. One last photo showing my meagre Persian opposition. Regards
Greg.

How the scene might look but I think the TG Immortals will look better and more suited for the TG Spartans. Looking to get my hands on the first Immortals
this week. I heard some will miss out as they are already sold out. Just as well that I was one of the first to order. Regards Greg.

Hi Greg

I got the two Persian standard bearers and very nice figures they are too and am sure you'll like yours too !

Steve

Great Diorama and excellent photos. The rocks of the pass at Thermopylae are especially well done. Very realistic IMO! The TG Spartans are superb.

Greg...
this look great...you have a nice collection and display...
I agree...we need many more Persians in battle poses...
it was my understanding that they are coming out with some soon...
hopefully lots of them...

These look terrific with the diorama you have built. What are you using for the ground work? It fits in nicely with the bases. I want to build something similar for my collection of Thomas Gunn, First Legion, K & C, and Conte Greek Hoplites with the side.jpgfront.jpgPersians as well. I think they go well together and have included photos from their current staging area in my China cabinet.

Thanks gents for the likes and encouraging replies. The Greek and Spartans are visually more stunning than a lot of other series and along with the interest
and history of the era, is one of the things that captured my liking. I also was fascinated with the film The 300 Spartans and their brave battle against overwhelming odds. I think the new Persians will be a great boost to our dioramas and displays and the battle soldiers don't need to be the end of the series.
You could have cavalry, chariots, camp scenes and dancing girls entertaining the king. To answer a question. The ground work is just a basic product found in hobby shops that stock train supplies, models, paint and landscape supplies. I'm looking forward to future releases and anymore photos of prototypes in planning. Regards Greg.

Latest Persians and Spartan closest to front with spear and shield on side are superb. Any more prototype photos Thomas Gunn? Sapper.

I think that my diorama is not going to be large enough when the TG Immortal releases come out. I will have to think about extending the layout somehow. Sapper.

You will need plenty more room for the TG Persian Cavalry!

This diorama is 6ocm long and I think I will extend to 90cm to accomodate future releases.

It's a great looking display Gregg. As you say though with all these releases coming out to build up the armies, you'll going to want some more room. Could do with some myself !

Steve

Excellent diorama! Thanks for sharing your work.

Brendan

We have been busy preparing for the London show next weekend, here are one of the displays that will be featured in London for those of you who cannot be there.

Hope you enjoy it, sorry its not photography studio standard, just something we took in the office with an I-Phone camera.

How about some sneak peeks of Persian cavalry and infantry in action........ready to go in big on these!
