Hi guys
Just wondering if any of the collectors on the forum had specially commissioned sets from trophy ,like one of a kind
I SAW A TROPHY FLAGBEARER ON EBAY RECENTLY THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE FROM THE ACW RANGE
It would be great to see some of these sets
Cheers Scott

Hi Scott

I have got several sets in my AZW collection along with some more in my Egypt and The Sudan collection and at least one in my NWF collection. Also a couple in the Crimean War collection

All are posted on the forum but I add some to this thread if you like:wink2:

Cheers

Martyn :)

One from the Anglo Zulu War collection

EQ38 - OXEN DRAWN AMMUNITION WAGON

The regular set included just two Oxen and one handler, this special set contains 8 Oxen and 4 handlers

This set was originally commissioned by the Belgian Toy Soldier Museum

Len was very accommodating when it came to specials and I'm sure a fair amount of collectors received some custom sets.
He provided me with special uniforms for the AWI series, Napoleon in Egypt and Waterloo.
He even added bayonets to some of the figures originally produced without them.
Trophy will always be my favorite maker and since I started collecting them in the early eighties they provided me many years of "stress relief" from business and young family days.

I have a Set called Picket Line from the Zulu Wars which was a really old set and by the time I found out about it the moulds were long destroyed.

Len remade the moulds in an updated fashion so the horses stand on bases instead of just on their own legs.

Love it!

Will try and take pics!
