On July 9th, 1755 British regulars and American militia on 1,300 men, lead by General Braddock was shattered by a small group of French and Indian troops as they moved to attack Fort Duquesne along the Monongahela River. My latest diorama attempts to depict an after battle scene with the victories Indians collecting their "Spoils of War".
Most figures are King and Country. I repainted a couple of the figures to change the uniforms colors from American Revolutionary War to British French and Indian. One of more involved task, was the repainting of the battle flag that the mounted Indian is sitting on.

Very nicely done. Love the repaint of the flag to the 44th Foot. -- Al

Always enjoy looking at something a little different. From the sounds, you have put a lot of effort into this scene, but as shown, it has been worth it.:salute::, Robin.

Excellent little scene.Groundwork and choice of figures is outstanding.You are also a talented painter.Well done that man.

VERY .. nice blend of JJD items with mostly K&C figures. Brave man to repaint the K&C, but the success shows! Nice Job! :)
Also well thought out with a nice story. However the poor single British soldier never stood a chance against 5 savages ...{sm2}

Thanks for all the positive comments. I always like to tell a story. The other thing I enjoy adding are some local creatures. The last diorama had a mountain lion, this time a couple of squirrels.

Can't quite make out the squirrels, but it's a wonderful display and the ground work is superb. I've only just picked up the 'new-coat' & 'picking up musket' figures from a very kind TF member from the States and they are really very good. Thanks for sharing something a little different.
Cheers!

I did see one squirrel, sitting in the middle of the picture, on the stump in the background, but I hunted with no success for the second one.

Maybe he took an acorn and fled?:rolleyes:
