Looks like we're heading for another Roman engagement. Just love your subject matter. Regards Greg.

Quickly ( ^&confuse , what's a year^&grin) the Legionaries and Auxiliaries in the camp assemble and begin their long march north.

My legions have already returned from a successful Northern campaign, I wish you well with yours. Robin.

Back to the first rebellion in Judaea.
As the XIIth Fulminata Legion closes on Jerusalem they are ambushed by lightly armed rebels, much of their weapons being captured from the Romans.

At Beth Horon the XIIth Legion was defeated and it's Eagle carried off in Victory by the Jewish Rebels.

It's a shame no manufacturer has chosen yet to produce the Jewish rebels, hence having to convert a few Del Prado figures and using a few TG Arabs. Perhaps one day someone will take the risk and get handsomely rewarded for taking it.

Now we're talking, back to the good old sand and sandal days. If I can collect enough Germans my legions might be campaigning in Germania next. Nicely arranged diorama. Regards Greg.

I think that last post was supposed to be sword and sandal not sand and sandal .Just noticed it. Greg.

At one of Agricola's frontier forts all is peaceful....

Rebellion followed by the usual retribution, prisoners taken and those deemed useful taken off to the Slave markets, those not so deemed, killed.
Homes burnt, fields salted.

You certainly can use those Romans in multiple interesting scenes.Well donr that man.

Cheers Tony.

One advantage of not having room for permanent displays, allows me to use the figures in lots of scenarios !:smile2:

The Peace that Rome makes has restored the Province, and life settles down again, though on a knifes edge, should rebellion break out again. Traders start calling at their forts again to offer their wares, in this case the local brew, that help ease the hard life lived by Legionaries.
