If I've seen this movie once, I've seen it 100 times, it never gets old.

THE greatest war movie of all time, IMO there is not a close second.

Period.

I had the good fortune to talk with a retired US army major years ago. He had been a Lt in the Rangers when he landed on Omaha on DDay. I asked him if he had seen the movie. He said no, he didn't watch war movies and had not been back to France. But he did say he had spoken with other Ranger buddies and they told him the movie was like being there. High compliment to the movie I think.

I've stood on Pointe du Hoc and above Omaha beach and can't imagine how they made it off the beaches.
