Learned of this show last week, but unfortunately I live in the U.S. an this rather recent BBC program is not available here. Did any of you folks on the other side of the pond watch it? What was your take on it?

Haven't seen the BBC program either, but the book is excellent. If BBC stuck close to the book, it should be a good show. -- Al

About 8-10 daystransit time.

OR wait until Netflix gets it. NetFlix is very good about getting some foreign programs sooner or later. Here's another what if themed
series. I liked this one also http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-2053692/Resistance-When-Nazis-took-Wales-new-film-Britains-secret-underground-army.html

An excellent drama series with some great actors. It played played down here in NZ about three months ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Knew nothing about the book or the plot, but it had a few surprises which always attracts the viewer. Highly recommend if you get the chance.

I saved this on disk and watched it recently. I haven't read the book so watched it for what it was. I would say it was ok. Not great not poor. The photography was good and the sets were also good. There was quite a bit of mumbling from the actors which detracted a little and as is usual these days some of the spoken word was in modern speech forms which grates a little. As for the plot? It had a few nice twists and turns and was entertaining if a little corny at times. I wouldn't say it ever really gripped me. I think Fatherland has a better tale to tell but definitely a watcher but I won't be rushing to watch a repeat.
