staghound and new upcoming brit releases (1 Viewer)

Terry...

By the look of the staghound it could have rammed the tiger and, not needed the firefly!!!
Mitch

Yes - I think it was a Staghound that pointed out Wittmann's Tiger to a nearby Canadian Firefly :tongue:^&grin

Canadians had 3 levels of armoured vehicles. The Staghounds were the mainstay of the 2 Canadian Armoured Car Regiments and mostly were in groups of Staghounds. They attacked light targets and supported the infantry. The two Canadian Recce Regimts were mostly equipped with the Humber IV and were more for long range scouting than for combat.. The Canadian Armoured Divisions and Brigades had their own Humber Scout cars for direct short distance recce.

Great pics Guy! Its so nice to see some Canadian content on this forum! :cool: Matching the toy with the reality of its history is really nice to see. Looks like K&C's reproduction is pretty faithful to the original. This piece is one of my favourites but ofcourse I am biased. ;) Interestingly the massive tires on the Staghound resemble many of the armoured vehicles that exist today. Looking forward to the upcoming Commonwealth armoured cars being released over the next few months.

Just realised I'd taken this of a Dingo at Duxford;
