I can feel the cold! Outstanding!
Did the German 6th Army really have snow white uniforms at Stalingrad?
Sammy , very good effort . Your snow looks very realistic, which product did you use ?
And yes they ( a few Germans ) had white waterproof jackets and pants in Stalingrad

Awesome work Sammy :salute::
It's currently -2F here in Colorado Springs, so I can very much relate to the c-c-c-c-cold conveyed in this dio {sm4}
At first sight, in that and other pictures, they seem just thin and waterproof jackets and pants, which they wear over winter uniforms. On the book "The road to Stalingrad" (from the Series "THIRD REICH" edited by Time-Life Inc.) i found this Winter Combat, that it was a reversible uniform from green-camo (left) to white-snow (right). I hope it may help you.Attached Thumbnails![]()

there ya go mate.
I'm well aware such uniforms (as well as single layer "covers") were used by armies of the "Third REICH".
- however my question remains: did soldiers of the 6th Army at Stalingrad actually wear them?
I know the Russians wore snow camouflage at Stalingrad; but have never heard of or seen any pictures of Germans wearing such. Greatcoats for sure; but never snow white.
Matt and Constantin got lucky this time:

Well mate, I'm certainly not an exspert on every field camo uniform, but between Matt at First Legion Gebhard and Guy here on the forum who have great knowledge of WWII uniforms and have both responded to your question
And to be fair..I'll change the title to winter Germans... Sammy
