Whilst searching the stockroom at MKL yesterday we, myself and Lyn Kenwood, found three of the following sets

EQ86 French Medical Team - "The Wurst Wagon"

Anyone looking for one of these I strongly suggest emailing MKL Models.

Sorry I do not know the price but they are all mint and boxed

Good luck

Martyn:)

I know this thread is in the Trophy Section, but they look like Mignot. Is it possible? The set is beautiful.

I believe they called it The Wurst Wagon because of the shape of the box used to carry wounded soldiers. A French medical doctor whose name I forget was way ahead of his time in helping those wounded on the battle field. I think he developped the sausage box on a wagon with 'shock absorbers' along with other items and procedures.

A Very Good Morning Martyn,

Thanks very much for the reply about the storehouse.

I stand in awe at your single-minded resolve in tracking down Trophy sets.

You fully deserve each and every Trophy set that you manage to ferret out.

I think you must be scouring the land for the "Holy Grail of Trophy".

Pray tell..... is there such a set out there somewhere ?

Cheers, Raymond.

:)

Speaking of ware houses for trophy sets, i was thinking about how many figures you guys really have because it sounds like alot. I rearrangrd my hobby rooms and took inventory and i have the following--- 1038 napoleonics----289 zulu wars---133 boxer---87 northwest/afghan---71 american rev----82 sudan-----15 crimea----11 civil war---6 alamo----75 wwi---8 misc. The american revolution sets are really nice. On a couple of the sets all the figures are in different poses. Anyhow i am still trying to grow the collection but i don't think i will ever get to the size of some of your collections.

Uhhhhh you win.;) any doubles you wish to get rid of? Did you want a super- annuated kid?Ex-wife bitten? Someone killed? Dirty deeds done dirt cheap? Will work for Trophy:D:)

Well i did not mean this as a contest, i just thought it would be interesting to see what people collected. I have been collecting trophy for 13 years. I got a good jump on things when joe overstreet was getting out of the business with metroplex. Later i sold some baseball cards and rolled the money over to trophy. There is nothing better than opening a box of trophy figures. As for size of collections i am sure if they bothered to count that damien and martyn and some others have unbelievable collections. I am organizing and taking pictures of my sets and recording them as some recent posts have suggested. And its been a good excuse to play with mt toys. Plus i have my daughters helping which has been quite fun.

Whilst you had Len Taylor on the line you should have asked him about that Napoleon kissing the Eagle set that went for 700 USD on ebay last month. Lyn had never heard of it but some-one obviously knew about it and was prepared to pay big bucks

Martyn I'm sure you'll relaized that your Trophy British Forces out number your Zulu Warriors by 5 to 1 or very close to it.:rolleyes::rolleyes:....The Lt.
