Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898 (2 Viewers)

Found these recently, but noticed one was on a horse with red blanket (don't know the proper term) as opposed to the blue. Probably the figure was switched. Also the two horses are different as well. Any ideas on what should be on the red one? Thanks. Lawrence

Hi Lawrence

Not sure I can help with that one, as you know in the early Trophy catalogues any pictures were all in black and white. What is the motif on the red horse blanket?

Cheers

Martyn,
Thanks for the help. The motif is a crown with a circle encircling three stripes.

Christmas is celebrated outside Suakin, 1884

The Company Sergeant Major brings the Plum pudding, the United States Military Attaché brings a bottle, no doubt a good Kentucky bourbon. The Commanding Officer indicates just where the Plum pudding should be placed on the table.

Cheers and Merry Christmas
