Hello,
I collect K&C items for two years and especially airplanes, I bought the Me 163, Me 108, Hurricane and P51B.
In reviewing the various conversations on this topic, I saw that KC may soon produce a FW 190, a Spitfire or a Me 109... very interesting!
Personally, I am very interested in the Pacific War (and I'm French ...) and I'm sure there are many on this forum for fans of this period of the Second World War.
So I would be very happy if K&C produced in the future a F4U Corsair or a A6M-2 Zero and why not a TBD Devastator or Aichi D3A Val....we can dream!!!
And everything associated with a portion of the flight deck as diorama!
But I may be alone in wishing this items...

What do you think of this suggestion gentlemen and Mr Andy C.Neilson ?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
And sorry for my bad english.

Best regards

Xavier

I would love to see a Chinook Helicopter, probably not very likely! but I think one would be great.

Hi Guys,

And a big welcome to our new friend Xavier from la belle France…

Now onto the suggestions…
1. Pacific War Aircraft…
Yeah, great idea but…

I’m still working on the European Theatre of Operations. As previously stated…the FW190 will soon be on show as will our Spitfire…Later this year we have two more great warbirds coming. K&C would prefer to concentrate on aircraft models that complement our existing and upcoming military figures and vehicles.

Also appearing soon, I hope, is our very special Bristol Paul Defiant. I’ve seen the photos from our workshop and it’s outstanding!!!

Look out also for some Junker 88’s and a few P47 Thunderbolts.

2. Chinook Helicopter

Sorry Celtic Dave…this one is definitely not on the K&C “hit list”. Much as I personally like this aircraft to produce it in 1:30 scale would be massive and expensive…So, no can do. But on the plus side there’s plently more we can so…watch this space.

Best wishes and happy flying!
Andy C.

It sounds like the Defiant ("photos from our workshop") will be wood.

I would like to thank Mr Andy C. Neilson for his quick answer and give us some scoop concerning the releases of aircrafts for the year 2010. I think that I will have to purchase new display cases !!!
I am very happy to see an original subject as the Bristol Paul Defiant, very exciting!!
and thank you again Mr Andy C. Neilson for staying to listen customers!!

Best regards

Xavier

It sounds like the Defiant ("photos from our workshop") will be wood.

Here is the post that Andy made back in January indicating that certain items like the Defiant and the Junkers would be in wood.

Hi Guys,

First of all… a belated Happy New Year… Secondly, aircraft wise, we have a whole big bunch of polystone and metal aircraft already in the works for release throughout 2010 and beyond…

On the specialized wooden, hand-carved front the next batch (for release over a few months) are as follows:

Junkers 88 (3 versions, Europe, Desert and Winter)
Lysander (2 versions, Europe and Desert)
Boulton Paul Defiant (1 version)
D.H. Mosquito (633 Squadron version)
Thunderbolt (1 version)

Hope this info helps… Best wishes and Happy Flying!

Too bad no Pacific aircraft on the horizon, but that only makes sense as there is nothing to go with them currently in the KC catalog. The FW190 and P-47 sound good. Would like to see the FW done in A and D models and the P-47 as a razorback. At any rate, there are going to be some excellent aircraft to choose from. Now about that 1/30 B-17.... --Al

He's probably saying no polystone Pacific warbirds because several in wood have been done in the last couple of years. The polys are supposed to complement a range whereas the wood ones are a different animal (i.e., are their own range), and his imagination there can float freely.

I'm excited for the upcoming polystone JU 87 due sometime this year. But I would also like to see an HE 111 in the future.
