Summer in the - LIBERATED- city (1 Viewer)

Guy, definitely one of your best here. Great job on the street/buildings, they look terrific. Love all the details. As others have commented, I like the fact that you included so many civilian figures. Nice to see that in a dio. I wish more civilian WWII figures were made. One question... what method did you use to get rid of the figures' bases in the photos. Did you actually remove them?

Great work my friend and thanks for sharing with us.

Duke,
All the bases of the figures have been removed . With Kronprinz it's very easy, the figures are attached to their base with just a little metal pin . With a fine metal drill you can easily loosen the pin from the base and use the pin on one of the feet to fix the figure more firmly on your dio. The K&C figures are fixed to their base in another way (welded to it) and for these figures I used a fine metal saw to get rid of the bases

Guy,
Simply brilliant, a masterpiece! Perhaps this is one of the best dios I’ve seen so far in the forum considering realism, detail, simplicity and creativity! Superb!:salute::{bravo}}

Dear Guy:

A most splendid WW2 diorama! Your removing the bases of the figures that were placed on the paved streets really makes your diorama look realistic! You did a great job on adding assorted details to your diorama as well!

Gary

Guy,

As you already know sir, well done. Top notch Diorama. Seems removing the bases from the figures in the long run is the best way
to go for the best effect ! :salute:: :salute:: :salute::

Better late than never, but a great many Thanks to all my friends on the forum for the nice comments and the many, many ,many "likes" I received for my Summer in the -liberated- city diorama. For my next diorama I am gathering all the pieces together at this very moment . Once that is done I will start to adapt buildings and figures to the scene and situation I want to develop, I think the title of my next dio is self explanatory "After the battle"
thanks again folks

guy:)
