Hi Guys,

Yesterday we presented our two Australian Army Land Rovers with the promise that we would show them in a diorama setting... Here it is.

The setting is typical Vietnamese Land Owner’s, or perhaps a local Village Chief’s compound.

Australian troops, acting on a ‘tip-off’ have searched the compound and found a cache of Viet Cong weapons as well as some local VC... After a brief shootout 3 of the VC lie dead and one female VC is taken into custody.

The diorama itself measures 3’ long x 2’ wide and took just over 3weeks to construct and paint… in my spare time.

Hope you like it.

All the best,
Andy

Ok now I want that. Please send to me when you get tired of it Andy. A wonderful layout. Robin.

Wow ! Yes like Robin and Harry say, what a great diorama and very impressive Andy ! :salute:::salute:::salute::

Steve

Nice diorama, the Vietnam series is pushing ahead, there is one classic vehicle that is a must, a Tuk Tuk

Thinking another figure would have been nice in the compound, that being the upcoming village elder, could see him as the owner and under suspicion {sm4} , Robin.

Andy mate,
There have been some excellent Dios shown on this Forum this year, but as a totally mad K&C VN range collector, this one of the Land Owner's Compound is the absolute best. Love it with the Aussies on deck but it would also be a great one for the USMC VN range.
What ever my good mate Robin bids for this Dio, then I will double it.{sm4} This Dio is a work of NAM art. A must have.

Cheers from the Land Down Under, Howard

Andy

it is a bloody ripper .
The 2CV Citroen where did you get it ?

Damian

Thankyou Damian, re the little 2CV Citroen...I bought it in a great little, old-fashioned toy shop in Paris a couple of years back.
It's a wee bit 'under-scale' maybe 1:32 or so but looks OK as a background vehicle.
Best wishes to all my mates 'down under' for their fantastic support and enthusiasm for the whole 'VIETNAM' range of figures, vehicles
and now...dioramas!
Andy.
