Just last week I got the Seven Years War "Battle of Leuthen" diorama base and figures.
Glad I jumped on it, before several retired and "sold out" sets were off the market at their regular prices.
What I want to say, I really do like the concept of this release.
A diorama base with buildings is provided. Plenty of figures (17 different Prussian poses) to make an action filled display.
I will get a few more of both, the Prussian Grenadiers and the Roth Wurzburg Regiment, to fill in the remaining empty spots on the base and behind the walls.
And then that's it.
Off to another line, another battle.
This concept makes it very easy to plan and budget. It's also very attractive for people who don't have the skills and the time, or both, to create and build diorama bases, scenic items themselves.
Now I sure hope that John will do some more releases in this style, of various periods and conflicts.
I would very much appreciate it.
