Gebhard, I really wish you had not posted this photo. Now these two are extremely hard to resist.

Just joking. :). Thank you for the photo and congratulations to your acquisition.

Wunderbar! Gebhard, Wunderbar! I'm happy for you Gebhard. Beautiful figures.

Congratulations Gebs........Beautiful Figures....Amazing detail....... the FL "wow-factor" is off the "scales chart" with these figures........FIRST LEGION CONTINUES TO IMPRESS....THEY RULE BABY:salute::

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the positive comments I really appreciate it :salute:: and from fellow collectors I really respect. I'm not much of a Photographer but I think the photo turned out ok and captures their quality. For some reason they always look 10 times better in your hand. I can't say enough about just how well these two are done if your on the fence about either one jump off that fence and run and place an order with your dealer of choice. These really are just so well done as to be considered figures of true Connoisseur class at a price point well below what that normally commands. I really would without hesitation recommend them to anyone interested in the period no matter what style of figure you collect, you owe it to yourself to own these... regards Gebhard

Hi Gebs, I missed these photos earlier, they most cetainly look impressive and really like the display dooms you have them with, thanks for sharing...Sammy

It appears to be a cut above the usual FL figures or is your photography skill under-rated?

Anyone else waiting for some new 7YW figures ??? I know it's most likely not their best seller but man I'm really getting impatient for some new figures, some of their best work IMO.. regards Gebhard
I know I collect only Napoleonic's but I could not resist and bought the Joachim von Zieten one. I agree, this is top notch sculpting and painting!

FL figures are wonderful and I also collect SYW European theatre. I believe that JJD will produce Prussians with dirt/grass bases in addition to his Leuthen snow base figures.
We can repaint the snow bases as well. His SYW French can also be modified slightly for the European theatre.
Just some thoughts.

Gebhard,

Where did you get those glass dome to protect your FL figurines ?

And you have 2 marvelous FL figurines

Congratulations :salute:: he has to be in the top 5 figures produced so far from First Legion. I really can't wait to see them expand on the 7YW personalities line. regards Gebhard

Big fan of what JJD has done with his Leuthen line, so much so that I bought the complete Churchyard from George. Good to hear about the bases although they are made to reproduce the famous painting by Röchling it will give collectors more options to display the figures in different scenarios. regards Gebhard

Hi Serge,
Glad to hear you like them, I really think they add a touch of class to any toy soldier you display outside of your wall units. I have one or two in my office and even on the fireplace mantle in my Home, without any complaints from the misses. I don't think there is a women alive who want's their house to look like a TS shop, so these can get you a free pass:wink2: As they say Happy Wife Happy Life. I know even her friends have commented on how nice they look, also no dust ^&grin. Anyway I bought them from a company a few years back called Fine Home Displays here is a link. http://www.finehomedisplays.com/index.htm I have even bought from them Memorial Flag Cases for my Father and Uncles flags much cheaper then the Funeral Parlor. regards Gebhard

I think Hobby Lobby and Michigan Toy Soldier carry them.
Mark
