Another rainy, cold and windy day here - glad I got my weekly yard work done yesterday. Supposed to rain here off and on through Thursday - I guess that means I'll have to suffer through it and amuse myself with my ACW collection ;):D Sure am looking forward to receiving WB ACW #31056 Union Artillery Set #2 "Loading Canister" - could have used it today . . . .

How awful for you Mike to have to stay in doors and play with your toys :D

Oh well we get to enjoy the fruits of your labour :D:D:D and quite enjoyable they are too.

Thanks Scott - Here's two more photos of the same set up:

Great shots Mike.If you wanted to I think you could use cottenballs to simulate smoke.Just a thought as your the master.

Love these pictures. I am struck by how the orange trim on the Reb battle flag makes it stand out so strongly. Quite impressive shots. -- Al

Agreed with the others Mike. Really nice shots of some nice figures here.

Thank you all very much; Titus, Mark, Matt, Lancer, MD, Carlos, and Bob - So glad you enjoyed them.

This is a great photo. Superb composition and right down in the action. Looks like UKReb isn't the only one putting together excellent ACW displays.

Thank you for the kind remarks. I am just a pupil, Bob is the master.

Great photos and action scenes Mike. The variety of figures and placement of the battle is very interesting. I enjoy it when you set up these scenes. I hope it rains all month.:D John

Excellent job Mike. I've always enjoyed looking at your scenes even though I don't post a comment every time I view them.

Like Leadman said, "I hope it rains all month". :D

I saw Britain's latest artilleryman, the number 4 man with the lanyard and fuses. He's good for Union and Confederate as he's in shirt sleeves, sky blue trousers, and the slouch hat is OK for some units. Britains doesn't seem to have a number 5 man with the shot pouch. Did I miss it?

What a fun series of photos!

Still damp here today - supposed to rain through tomorrow. I am working on another idea for a scene - hopefully by tomorrow I will be able to photograph and post it here.

I have both the new single artillery men being offered by WB this year pre-ordered. You are right - no #5 as of yet. It seems that the industry standard is to issue 4-man gun crews. However, I do greatly appreciate WB offering single gun crew figures so that the gun crews can be "filled out". I plan to use the single figures for both my Union and Confederate guns. Will purchase double sets and I am planning a minor re-paint on one of each for my Reb batteries - never have repainted before but I think I see gray or butternut trousers looking good on these.

Great stuf! Reminds me of Trioni's painting " RETREAT BY RECOIL" 9TH MASS 12 pound smooth bore battery near the Trostle house on the 2nd Day at Gettysburg.I have a six gun Union smooth bore battery.I might try that depiction someday. No rain here though.Must go outside.
Again , great pix

I am waiting for this set too! I plan on setting it up with my ONWTC set and the first W. Britain Federal gun crew although I may swap out guns to have a partial battery of iron guns.

You are right about the limit of 4 figures per boxed set. It brings us to a good MSRP, although I am in need of additional figures including #5 & 6... they are coming...

All the Best!
Ken
