this is great, what a dramatic scene . Jungle on fire and 1st aid to the wounded and shocked comradesThe best shot I have seen so far of your Vietnam seriesGuy

It's an excellent depiction of realism. A tribute to the hobby. Lost my father in law in January. He was a 29 year retired US Marine Corps veteran including two tours in Vietnam. In later life he suffered from PTSD. He attributed his disorder to his deployments and combat experiences in Vietnam. Seeing your well crafted diorama on realistic terms explains to a partial degree his physiological reactions. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome setting and scene Steve ! That backdrop is a great addition to the dio.

Yes that’s a terrific backdrop which really intensives the scene. Well done Steve. Robin.

Thanks very much guys ! :salute:::salute:: Yes, happy myself with this one, hopefully I've succeeded in portraying a little of what it may have been like for the average Grunt and the immediate after effects of action.
Whether it'd been an ambush or an assault on a VC position, you can understand the Marines naturally feeling anger towards the prisoner and wanting quick answers and their animosity for the death and injuries of their buddies in their interrogation. The haunted look / Thousand yard stare on the standing figure from the Mine detector set really tells the story of being pushed too hard for too long and the toll it's taken and finally the urgency of getting a Dustoff for the wounded being attended to by the Corpsman and their Marine buddies.

Hi Steve,
Let me add my congratulations to all the other guys on this latest thread of yours...Very well done... and I’m doubly delighted that you make such excellent use of our K&C ‘Grunts’...

As long as you and other ‘Vietnam’ enthusiasts continue to create such excellent scenes...We’ll keep supplying you with brave and battle-ready reinforcements!

Thanks Andy most appreciated and yes keep them coming please ! :salute::

Looking forward to what's already been previewed on the forum here and hopefully some more civilians and Marines patrolling, setting up Claymores.
Now we're starting to get some FSB components, how about some Grunts filling sandbags, string concertina wire, eating their C-Rats etc.
Maybe even a figure like the German one you done before of a Marine taking a dump !
All Best
Steve

Wow. What a good photo.
The background reminds me of the scene from Forrest Gump
