Kit is from Accurate Miniatures in 1/48

The model represents one of 12 Avengers flying anti-submarine duty from the USS Block Island in May of 1944.

That's a great finish! I love your weathering! Do you mist a thin coat of white or a light grey over everything, to get that washed-out look on the markings?

Where'd you get the pilot and deck crew, too?

Everything looks great! If you haven't ever taken your builds to a show, I think you should.

Prost!

Fantastic looking . . . My all time favorite WWII carrier based aircraft . . . . You did an outstanding job on this model . . . certainly museum display quality . . . .

Thank you.

theBaron,

Yes I did use a very thin mixture of light grey over the whole model to tie everything together and gave it a worn out appearance.
The pilot came from my Tamiya kit which I did not use for that build. Crew man was from Verlinden US Navy crew (4 figures).

What a MASTERFUL job you did in building and painting the model ...:salute::

Gee ... if Accurate Miniatures made a 1/30 scale kit of the Avenger, I'd buy it and commission you to build and paint it.

K&C showed one a while back but I haven't heard anything in a while ... {sm2}

Thank you friends.

I must admit that this kit is one of the difficult kit I've built so far. I read somewhere that the Trumpeter 1/32 TBM/TBF kit is even more difficult to build :salute::
