Anstock, I've got lunatics laughing at me from the woods, my original plans are shattered because the jeeps havn't arrived, and all communications are broken down; do you really believe any of that can be helped by a cup of tea?
Couldn't hurt Sir.

Nicely done, it's great when you can source the figures with the correct pose to duplicate a movie scene. Robin.

Good one...TomB

I like the look of your tree's and would love to know more about how you made them and what materials you used. Chris.

Anstock should probably give a cuppa to the bloke in the jeep about to fire the sten as I reckon he is a touch nervous! {sm4}

Excellent dio Bob and you did an awesome job on the trees! {bravo}}

Chris, it's a florist line called dried moss - soak in PVA/Water mix and balance it sparingly on garden twigs (chosen for shape of course) in the bright sunlight. Dries like plastic and while still wet can be sprinkled with coloured flock to vary highlight colours.

Bob you have out done yourself...just brilliant......{:salute::}}
P.S how's K9?
Wayne.

Love it......and that scenery is really very good too!^&grin
In response to all enquiry, I don't generally collect OMG though without dispute the figures are superb; it's just about competing priorities. That said, this scene from the movie is a standout for me and I took the oportunity of purchasing the jeep some time back as a value-for-money model(pay for the figures and get a jeep thrown in :)). The P figure rounded off the opportunity and, taken on average, still represents good value for money. This scene, swimming around in the brain over several months, took only 5 minutes to set up. I've had the trees for years, left over from LOTR modelling for Fangorn Forrest; each is on a base that was casually concealed with sand and flock straight from the bag. The sun was in the right place and the whole lot is sitting on a common flock grass sheet draped over the end of a banana lounge (appropriate for Queenslanders I know :) ).
The trees are simply a matter of patience to make; over the years, the dried moss has become scarcer in the local market - it comes, I believe, from China. I originally accessed it in compressed ball format, which literally exploded when added to a bucket of water, and was really cheap. Of late, it turns up in those 'bargain shops' that come and go; generally $2 in a cellophane bag about 75mm X 100mm - if you spot it, grap about ten bags as it may not be accessible when you are doing that special project. I discovered over time that less is more and that leaves generally grow only to the outside of the tree superstructure - so a bag can be enough for 3 to 4 trees. You can use it down to the scale of individual leaves so it is a really useful product; it can be simply enhanced with coloured flock or can be painted when the pva mix dries. Happy hobbying and thanks for the interest and appreciation.

Wayne.

Thanks Wayne, it was fun to do this little project after months of day-dreaming it. K9 is recovering well, which is gratifying after sacrificing the holiday. I just need to make the Waterloo Bicentennial a bigger event to compensate :).

Just to take the pressure off you Bob but the Bicentennial will probably be big with or without your efforts!

Phew! I'm much relieved to hear that. You think I can just go and watch? :)
