A Grant tank stops in the Western Desert as Montgomery surveys the landscape ahead. A tank crewman has decided to have a cup of tea during the break.

All figures/tank crewmen K&C. Grant tank from FOV.

Love the scene, but have a question. Is the figure in the turret from the desert Vickers, or is that the figure that comes with the Grant??

Thanks. That is the tank commander from the Desert Vickers as are the officer on the ground and the other tanker with cup of tea. The Desert Vickers set is a great set because of these 3 figures included. I hesitated putting the tank commander in the FOV tank because of the difference in scale, but after doing so, thought it looked o.k. even if a little off.

My original photos didn't have the tank commander in the turret. Here's one of them.

Thanks for a very nice display. I thought of doing a similar display of Monty with the figures of the Desert Vickers set myself. It would have been perfect if K&C did a Monty's Grant set with similar figures having a cuppa of tea.

Thanks... yes those FOV Grants are quite nice actually. I have this "Monty" version and the other all sand colored Robin Hood version.

Thanks Raymond. I agree that K&C should do a Monty version of the Grant. They could do a repaint on the current version that's out now. Maybe they will.

Thanks........I unfortunately ended up buying the Vickers from a dealer who somehow "lost" the turret tanker. Good news it was a much reduced rate for the Vic and the other 2 officers because of the AWOL laddie, but now I am on the hunt (to no avail) on finding a loose turret tanker to replace him. I am like on the verge of taking a razor saw at the waist to the latest Monty figure, then scuplting a head phone set out of expoxy putty, and replacing him that way.
