the rest are in boxes, has any one else got pictures of there collections? rob the tssd artillery are a lot bigger and are excellent figs,i don't know if you can see at the back of the cabinet i have a set of tssd cavalry ,they are big too, doesn't matter though they will all mix in at the end of the day.does anyone else here collect the Britain deetail line? i have most of the sets but i wont pay big money for any of the original mounted ffl, arabs mexicans especially since dsg are redoing them.

I remember as a kid i would look at Britains deetail in toy shops and just wish i could get them.
{I had to settle for the Airfix knock offs} I should realy be chasing up the deetail figs now.
maybe one day......did buy a set of Japanese last year that i repainted a little and flocked the bases.

yea there not bad rob ,there is quite a few sets to collect, not including color variations, especially for the foot cowboys, and foot Mexicans, can get very expensive when you chase all the vehicles as well

Hi

has anyone heard any news about the current Deetail sets? - I guess that the same sets reissued a couple of years ago (the SuperDeetail) are still on sale, but they did talk about introducing some new figures, although I imagine that the recent recession has warned them off?
The DSG new versions are good and you can remount them on metal bases and give them a re-paint if required.

heard nothing,i have remounted plenty of dsg on the deetail horses, when it comes to the new superdeeatail i find the plastic is very soft and certain spray undercoats leave the figure very sticky to toach, and doesnt dry

Are you using gloss(oil)paint on these figures? I had a similar experience with another maker and they suggest using acrylic paint and then sealing with a acrylic gloss varnish. Worked a treat, no sticky mess. :)

mat auto undercoat ,it depends on what brand i buy,it only happens with the cheap spray i reckon

Yes, but keep what I have or get off other stuff as well, but focus is 100% on WW2 Scale 1/32.

i noticed you have put some metal bases on some of your dsg troops, good idea i have done the same with most of mine,i normally buy dsg unpainted then give them a paint job and replace bases with metal ones.they are great to paint.

Yes a that time I had no other choice than to steal some of my own Metal Bases from the new Deetail I have and put them on the DSG.
But you can now buy the Metal Bases from DSG:
