Texas Show NEW Release - Eastern Front (2 Viewers)

A note to Figarti & Team: Your are bowling me over :D! What's a collector to do?!?!:p Just amazing work guys.....and those intense faces of war....please hold onto the sculptor whoever he or she may be......those faces are brilliant. So much personality, grit and determination. And they all are unique from one another. I continue to be very impressed w/ Figarti's figures and in all respects (paint, "non-recycled" creative poses, proportionality, sculpting, implied motion, etc..)......just wonderful work. Looks like I will have some hard choices to make very soon. I might have to progress with an "out of the 'old' / in with the 'new'" selling cycle:eek:. With space and monetary limitations, I can't buy it all, but what wonderful choices. These new releases along w/ the Red Ball range expansion are just stealing thunder left and right. Thank you Rick and Co.

I have deliberately stayed away from the JS-2 and riders, but Figarti just keeps its new releases “exciting and innovative”. It’s certainly making it increasingly difficult not to dabble in the Eastern Front and once you start who knows where it will end.

Great releases Rick and thanks for the continuing dilemma!!!

Joe,

I find myself in complete agreement with your sentiments. I haven’t reached the point of “out with the old and in with the new”. I think that our individual collections are in a constant state of change. Change may come slowly at times, but as new releases and manufactures materialise, it does pay a visit. It’s a good thing and it keeps the excitement of the hunt alive. Cheers,

Alby,

I was in a similar boat - 'must not get in to the Eastern Front - can't afford it, no good can come of this', but due to being incredibly weak willed, I got the JS2 + tank riders, and this is one of the best tanks produced IMO.
If you get the oportunity, I would recommend picking this up, even if it's just as a stand alone piece.

Simon

EFR-005 Anti-Tank gun looks to be a must have....When are these avaiable for pre-order?? Does anyone know? Thank you Vezzolf

Simon, thanks for your thoughts, it would appear any resistance is futile. I think I might add these guys to my list (ever growing as it is) and dabble in the Eastern Front. After all it is just one or two sets and I will be able to stop at that … Right!!!

I was able to see these in person on Saturday and the detail is amazing and the weathering is awesome. The figures have great animation to them which made the whole Russian range very attractive.

Hi Alby,

I completely agree...my collection tends to be in a constant state of flux, and that's a big part of the fun I suppose! I find myself actually holding onto more of my Figarti pieces than any other manufacturer's items that I buy. I did sell my Figarti British M7 Priest, but that was only because I bought it quickly when it first came on the market because I wanted a Priest from any theater so badly. But then they followed the British Priest w/ the TX Special version, and that's the one I would have bought in the first place had they been released simultaneously. So I bought the TX Special and moved out my Africa Theatre version. But this is the only Figarti piece I have sold from my collection. But might be selling other maufacturer's items in my collection to finance buys of some of these latest Figarti beauties. Besides, I have very limited display space, and I hate to buy such amazing creations to only have them stored away in the closet. So my collection might actually require a little pruning, because many of the recent Figarti releases, whether it be Red Ball Express, Eastern Front, or modern warfare are must haves for me. This certainly is exciting! I'm really enjoying all things Figarti! Sounds like you are too! :)

Joe,

Thanks for the reply. I only have a couple of Figarti AFVs (Firefly & British M7Priest) and a few of their other sets (I particularly like the Highlanders). With all their great recent releases, more will be inbound. There are some wonderful choices out there at present, from a variety of manufactures. I think though, Figarti are my number one draft pick at the moment. Cheers,

Alby

These new Eastern Front releases are terrific. I've been tempted to pick up the JS2 and tank riders and now this piece. Its so hard to be strong and resist starting new collections and lines. Currently I have the K&C T-34 and some figures as a small representation of the Soviets as it is not my primary interest. If Figarti makes the iconic T-34/76 I probably would buy it.

CFM,

A T34 would be terrific and some new Wehrmacht sets would also be fantastic. I have just got some of Figarti’s Nth Africa sets. So I remain a little cautious about launching into a new line. I guess though there is a fair bit of flexibility with some of these Eastern Front releases. Perhaps I should just chill out, and if I like a certain piece enough, just buy it and enjoy it. Cheers,
