Dear Gunn Club

A Happy New Year to you all and lets hope it’s a good one for all concerned!

To kick off 2011 we have 3 new sets that made their debut at the London show and are as follows:

FJ002 Rifle Section – comes with 2 FJ’s as an all action firing set. One firing an MP40 in kneeling firing position and the other in the prone lying down position. The figure lying down is wearing a soft field cap and I was inspired to put some of our FJ’s in these because (1) I had never seen this done before with FJ’s and (2) the old Airfix Afrika Korps had figures wearing these caps and I have always liked the look it created. So there you go, some secrets behind the designs if you are interested! These sets come available as 200 in a Normandy version and 100 sets available in a desert version. Priced at $56 or £45 approx for those who live in a VAT zone!

FJ003 Rifle Section – Also comes with 2 FJ’s in firing mode. One standing swinging his rifle round to engage a target and the second kneeling firing a rifle and featuring the soft cap again from Airfix! Once again 200 available in a Normandy version and 100 in a Desert version. Prices as before and mentioned above.

FJ004 Knockout Blow – A hapless British paratrooper wounded in the face by shrapnel is unfortunately in the way of an advancing FJ, who is about to dispatch him with the butt of his rifle. A fairly brutal set depicting the reality of war I would say, and yes we will be doing another one with the odds reversed! The inspiration from this once again came from the Airfix FJ’s and in particular the one swinging his rifle if you remember? For years I could never really find anyone for him to fight but 35 years later I have now put this to rights! The normal 200 in Normandy and 100 in Desert apply with the same price as the above.

These sets available next week with pre-orders being taken now. Pictures of the Normandy version will be available on the website later or I can email over to you if you would like to see some earlier, just ask me! FJ001 Light Gun has sold out in the B version here and we are down to less than 10 sets of the Normandy version, thank you for all your support on this release everybody who bought.

The tropical FW190 is now being dispatched as we speak from the UK to all UK and European addresses. The US shipment has now docked in LA and should be shipping very soon – so not long now and hopefully worth the wait.

In March we should be releasing 1 or maybe 2 vehicles which should be available at London. The German vehicle not been done for a long time and so far as I know the US vehicle which will be numbered USA001 is completely unique in this variant. As you would come to expect from Thomas Gunn these will be sold at a competitive price and in very limited numbers.

Once again thank you for your support because we would not be here without you!

Kind Regards Tom

Dear All

We had not done a brochure for a long time so now I have done 2 at the same time! I know most of you will be familiar with these sets but for those of you who are not then these are well worth looking at. The dinghy set is fairly iconic and will be no doubt one of those highly sort after pieces in years to come.

Para 003 will be out next month along with our first Gunn club British Para, so the collection grows. For those of you wondering when you will see some paratroops in smocks then not long to wait now, hopefully before we see a show in London in June. Our production line is fairly busy now so I am trying to slot these in along with the new Napoleonic line, due out before then so please bear with me.

Kind Regards Tom

Interesting times with vehicles starting to come out and, undoubtedly, they will be of excellent quality

Looking forward to the AFV's.Wonder what TG has in stall for us ? Plenty of opportunities are coming our way to compose some very nice dios using TG products. If TG releases a US vehicle will it then be accompanied by some GI's? I hope so !!!!!!!!!! Competitive price is a very nice phrase in the announcement !!!!!!!!!
Marvellous..........

If the PAK's are any indication, the vehicles will be outstanding.

Very excited about news of vehicles - only a couple of months to go! Wonder what they will be. Hopefully they will follow the figures trend ie versions for
Normandy and "tropical" - perhaps even winter versions where appropriate. I'm personally hoping for a German 4-wheel armoured car. K & C did one a very long time ago but only in DAK markings.

I think they will indeed be quality. An armoured car would indeed be a good release

I would like to see a US quad-50 halftrack with supporting troops done in Normandy time frame. -- Al

I can't wait to see what TG will be presenting for its first vehicles.

True, but this is like 'Christmas Eve'...I'm looking at all the packages under the tree and don't want to wait till tomorrow to find out what's in 'em !;)

Yes, I'm looking forwards to the announcement today. German horse-drawn laundry unit, perhaps?
