I recently forked over the cash and got the Thomas Gunn Miniatures HS-123 model (TG-WOW012) in the livery of the aircraft flown by Hauptman Josef Menapace of 7/SG 2 on the Eastern Front (southern sector) around August 1942. I had wanted this to go with my burgeoning interwar aircraft collection and it’s a beautiful model. As it’s made of mahogany wood, it lacks some of the finer details that can be achieved with resin or plastics. The resin John Jenkins Designs aircraft are more detailed. I got some of the JJD Condor Legion pilots to go with the plane, only to have it come with the TGM Gerhard Homuth figure set (LUFT009B).

I’ve taken a few photos of the plane and a setup with the pilots going through a quick briefing before a mission while a mechanic and Fallschrimjager look on... Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum. That is nice and the ones behind look great as well.

Terrific looking plane. It's true you sacrifice something with wood but the look and the feel is something different.

Great Aircraft, I went for the winter version, it was a close decision and both are great.

Darned if I didn't miss this one.

Nice model and marvelous little display.

Love the bi-planes. Great looking model. BTW, the knee patch on one of the figs is awful. Chris
