Looks like TGM is considering doing a high quality range in 1/32 scale comparable to the FL figures. No range was specified. Or should he stick to the K&C scale?

Without knowing the range, that is almost impossible to answer. Even knowing the range poses a difficult response.

They are also talking of wooden warbirds. I don't think they should do either, I think they should stick to what they do and what makes TGM unique. If you start doing figures like FL and planes like K&C they might lose their own style so to speak.

It depends on what high quality means and whether they want to stay chunky to fit with K&C. If they are only planning on improving the painting it wouldn't likely be that interesting. I agree with Rob that they should more probably stick to what makes them popular.

The ideas seem to be in the discussion/talking stage so nothing is concrete. However, I would be in favor of those ideas. I like the ideas of wooden warbirds as well as high quality quality figures. Why not expand. If you are an entrepeneur you look for new challenges. No one has ever advanced by standing still.

I think their first foray into warbirds was a success so why not consider another venture rather than wooden warbirds though, it depends of quality and cost.

This may well be a tester of the market for expansion and, why not?? I am sure they could pull off a range of higher quality painting (is that not what aero art and figarti are trying to do) and, do it at an affordable and competitive price.

You have to take the plunge and try so, whatever they do I wish them well

I agree.I would love to see a high quality range of 1/32nd scale figurines reasonably priced. Would go well with my collection of FoV vehicles and tanks. (FoV figurines are worthless)
Airplanes are not my thing, so I will not pronounce a yé or a no

Simply from a business standpoint, there really is a bit of an argument for both. FL kind of has its own niche right now, and there is room for more competition. As it stands right now, TF has tough competition from K&C and CS. What makes TG popular, in my opinion though, is what is also helping CS. They are selling at a lower price than some companies. If they could produce a high quality 1:32 figure as well as the 1:30 they do now, but at competitive prices, they could offer collectors of other existing brands options to expand their displays. For example, I used the TG pak gun to augment a mostly K&C Bulge display. I also added a few K&C pieces in there. As I type this discussion out, I am beginning to think TF should go with higher quality 1:32 as a second line. I am sure there are those out there who love the FL type figures but would love to be able to augment with slightly lower prices from a second manufacturer. For example, one thing that has kept me from getting into FL WWII figures is the cost of vehicles.

NO NO NO to the 1/32 little skinny stuff like FL but yes to the wooden warbirds IF they do the big planes HE111,JU52 etc etc,but no stick to 1/30 scale why change a winning and superb line of figures.

Collectors will go for 1/30 scale 9 out of 10
Nobody likes those small figures anymore
I bought from TFrog the new BER series
i thought they look superb i was very surprise of
the quality of sculpt and paint. I bought them
because i figure there will be additions to Berlin serie
LAH and Berlin series are very popular with collectors
no matter who makes them. Price is a factor.
If u have something good going , if it's not broken
don't fix it.

I think there a market for a 1/32 range & asked Tom if he would think of making them last year as there a lot of good 1/32 armour but no figures so think he would be on to a winner , would love some new planes but don't know if I like the idea of wooden ones

I'm sure whatever TGM turn their hands to would be good, the quality speaks for itself, I just hope they don't spread themselves too thin. Better to a lesser amount of things with the quality they already have than more things perhaps not of the same standard. Look at First Legion, they have corned the market in the smaller figures and are doing it very well, but I doubt they will off into a complete different area too soon. We may all want this that and the other, but does it mean its right for the company?.

I think I was drunk when I typed this.:redface2: Replace all the TF with TG.

I think it was an addition to the range not change to it. How long do you have to wait to expand?? Only TG knows this. The products so far speak for themselves and I am sure they will make sure that any new range or venture will continue in the same vein.

At the end of this month we should see what they do with vehicles and, if they are half as good as the aircraft they will be gone within days of release
