After almost 10 years of almost complete abstinence from toy soldiers, TG's Pavlovsk Grenadiers brought me back to the hobby. That's why I'm organizing my Russia 1812 collection with TG.
On the Battlefield are TG, FL, K&C, delPrado, russian special figures, CS, Britains- JG- FormTech- and Lineol Scenics. It is shown the Army that ended 1812 at Borodino (battle on the Moskva) Napoleons Hope of a Victory over Russia: he lost to many men, the fate of (130 years later) the Wehrmacht: triumphed to Death. And today? Modern German "politicians" (some bad people call them over-paid Comedy Actors) are again on their way ... to do what they been told is "necessary".
Nice collection.well displayed. I have about 15 TG Russians plus a few Delprado but funds have always precluded getting more Russians. Maybe I should get a few FL as they are on sale. Your display is certainly inspiring.
I do have a a larger Retreat from Moscow collection with those wonderful FL sledges.
Indeed great collection you got there, I like also Pavlovsky unit and watch them in times on secondary market, as TG do not support for the moment this theme, you have done some great work here, congrats!!!
I can recognize several units from makers, can you just tell me who's the maker of the cavalry at the back left with thee black hats? Blue-white flag unit.
Also the maker of the cannon set, that's a very good set.!!
Hi, Cavalry at back are Ordenski Cuirasseurs from del Prado (I repaint a very little bit on some of them, but they give a good background for dioramas), also the blue-white flags are delPrado "Pavlograd Hussar". Cavalry on the frontside (Dragonns attacking, and Blue Cossacks) is Collectors Showcase. Artillery in the very back is EK Castings from Russia (very good!).
