Over the course of the 2012 NY Sympsoium, a plan for future Symposia was worked out: from now on, every other year the Symposium will travel. Next year, we have agreed to hold it in London in the days leading up to and following the June London Show, thereby killing two birds with one stone - I have been pining to come to the London Show for years, and we can finally get Rob, Simon, Martyn, UKReb and the rest of our British friends have not yet attended, to a Symposium! Clive Gande from Grey Goose Collectibles will be handling much of the planning, but I'm hoping the Nevilles and some of the other UK manufacturers, distributors and dealers will also get involved. Anyone who is interested in helping to plan, sponsor or host an event, please let me, Hans, Larry and Clive know!

Louis-

I hereby volunteer to assist Lawrence with the Peking Duck Committee!!! {sm4} I will personally deliver all Peking Duck on the trip over the pond. {sm4}

This sounds like a really fun idea- Simon and I can kick back tip a pint and watch Top Gun together!!! {bravo}}{bravo}}

Probably a good idea to rotate it although I won't be attending, what with schedules and everything, not to mention trying to sell the idea to my wife would be one conversation I wouldn't even try.

As always, great time in NYC. As to the rotation................I am finally making London. My son's bday is June 28th, so that fits right in, out of school, etc. My wife and I are going to make it a vacation, so that should be perfect!

I am also bringing Meredith and the kids, and I think Ed Curiel is bringing his wife and children as well. We should be able to have the wives and children get together to do the touristy things, so we can run off and do the military history stuff without any guilt.:wink2:

Brad, with Tom, Ed and I bringing our wives, maybe you can talk your wife into coming and making a family vacation out of it.

She wants to see Italy which neither of us have been to and I've tried to talk her into going back to Paris or to Spain itself (which we haven't been to since the early 90s) but no soap so London will be a no sale.

Terrific idea Louis {bravo}}, I will bend Clive's ear about it next week^&grin

Cheers

Martyn:)

Louis mate,
Count me in.:smile2: I have been looking for an excuse to visit the old country and catch with Rob and his gin and tonic mates. However, if you have got Clive running the UK end then there has to be some serious doubts on how its going to turn out.^&grin^&grin
Cheers Howard

My wife and I have been discussing going to the U.K. for awhile now, hopefully we can save some coins and plan on attending the London/Symposium next June as well, it would be great to meet some collectors from all over...Sammy

Louis,

thanks for the 15 months 'warning order' for the fothcoming meeting in London.

Its closer for me that coming to NY, and I can combine with visits to the relations (which means we can stay with them) and see more of UK and some of Europe too (Le Tour de France is on the next week).

I'll start saving AND make plans for booking flights when the cheap deals come out before Christmas (Early Bird Deals)

Looking forward to sharing another beer or 2 woth the guys again at 12:30 in the bar,

John

Sammy, they only allow "mancave" colors into the show over there, no Purple, Black and Gold will be ok............................:eek::eek:

Counting the days to London 2013 and the ...........NFL.

Tom, ya got to have a little color in life, eveything can't always be black and white (or gold):):):)!! but don't worry if our teams don't stop the free agent give away program we may both not have a team to field in 2012!!! but yea looking forward already to defending the AFC North title in a few months or so, but really looking forward to the london 2013/Symposium shows!!! just got off the phone with Louis who had some great ideas as far as some sights like a day at the beach landings!! (on my top 3 bucket list) this really does sound like a great idea, not only to meet some other fellow collectors but getting to see the U.K. and other areas as well as picking up a soldier or two at the London show:)just look for #92 Ngata in the crowd:) Tom we'll have to teach the U.K. boys about some real hitt'n:) can't wait!!...Sammy
