Ok Uk Reb, my patient friend from across the pond, you have waited long enough, so here you are, the start of The American Civil War diaries; in 20mm.

It's only fair we keep this seperate from your outstanding ACW diaries in 54mm, nothing wrong with two ACW diaries. Thanks UK Reb for sparking my interest in the ACW again, my all time favorite period to collect; and away we go...............

Confederate forces attack Union positions defended by various outfits.........

The Union forces are made up of a mix of Berdan Sharpshooters, elements of the 14th Brooklyn and various Zouave units as well........

Thanks Mark, I plan on adding to this thread hopefully two or three times a month, I've got loads of ideas kicking around, all I needed was to get my rear in gear and start with this one, it's a piece of cake from here......

Well better late than never:D:D

Great stuff George and you have no idea what a treat it is to view another members blue and gray collection

Many thanks for posting and keep-em coming whether it's "On to Washington" or "On to Richmond" either route will suit me just fine.

Reb

My pleasure Reb; hard to believe I've got over 2,000 ACW figures and I painted them all myself. I guess at one point in my life I had WAY too much free time on my hands.

I will do my best to keep adding to this thread with more "diodrama" specific items.........

George your having way to much fun over there!:D:D

Thanks John, having fun with the hobby is what it's all about and I have more than my share I'm happy to report........

Well keep the photos coming George!

They are great!

Thanks Dick, more to come shortly, keep an eye on this thread.....

Looks like it's going to be a bad day for the Rebs caught out in the open like that with those sharpshooters behind stone walls. Medic!!!!1

Looks like a whole lotta fun George! I,m enjoying the pics of the wee ones. The other day I decided to set my old trains up. Havent had them out in years. Well, one thing led to another and....

Thanks Cap, nice train set you've got there. I will be adding more ACW pictures soon, my favorite period to collect.......

Capn

The way you have laid out your dio looks to me just like a scene from Keaton's civil war silent movie "The General"

You ever seen it?

Reb

Whenever I think ACW and trains, I think of The Horse Soldiers, when the Confederates came piling out of the boxcars and attacked Newton Station............

Mark,
Encore and The Western Channel have been showing it quite a bit the past month or so, one of my all time favorite movies as a kid and still so to this day...........

Regards,
George
