The Barbarian Queen Attacks (1 Viewer)

I'm sorry, but that looks like a "B" or "C" movie character to me.
Conte does some great stuff, but could do way better with the "Ladies" :wink2:

Very 1970s- 80s from the "Cleavage and Lizards" era of fantasy miniatures. TSSD's left handed plastic archer lady is truer to the period.

I agree Scott, TSSD's female archer is a great figure. I collect barbarian figures and have always hoped manufacturer's would produce more female barbarians. That being said, I won't be adding Conte's new barbarian queen (nor their prior one) to my collection. Maybe CS can produce a realistic female barbarian.

I picked up Conte's Spartacus series female figure separately. The anatomy is impossible but I might convert the figure to some kind of female artillery crew or partisan in the 1800s with some "green stuff" clothing. There are so many female subject ideas in history out there plus documentation about clothing, hairstyles, etc. Conte could make a sexy and "authentic" female figure that would please both the history buff and the dirty old man in any collector.

I did say the Babarian Queen would stir some intrest an chatter and have no doubt that they'll be those like myself who'll be adding her to their collections. Also have no doubt that she'll blend in nicely with many of my future photo dioramas and like many of my others which have not bend historically correct as well as my B rated ones based on the movies Zulu and Zulu Dawn as well as Gunga Din......The Lt.

I found this anonymous figure kit in the flea market room at the Hobby Bunker. Could be a "queen."

She very well could be Scott but not as pleasant to look upon even painted.......The Lt.

A challenge! I'll just have to paint this figure!

Think I can do better than Asian "slave" labor? :wink2::wink2:

Here's a sneak peak of an addtion to Conte's Rome at War range.

Impressive, er..., weaponry. :redface2:

I don't get it. I will probably get all the other pieces but not this one. I just don't see how this fits in. Is that a designer armored sports bra???????

With the "Germanic Maiden" figure you just use your imagination as this Barbarian might not have "strophium" and "subligaria" under her robes.
