Hi,
Just thought I'd post some pictures of a diorama I've been working on.

May not be totally historically accurate. (I've never seen MKVs carrying untrenching beams/fascines etc, but I haven't got any MKIV tanks!)

I've tried to match the groundwork to the figure bases.

Apologies in advance for my photography skills....

Looks really great, Pete. The ground work is outstanding and the barbed wire is very nicely done. Nice collection. -- Al

Excellent diorama! One minor note, the infantry (definitely the Canadians anyways) at Amiens advanced in loose file behind the tanks rather than extended line beside the tanks, to limit their exposure to the German machine guns' beaten zones. However, your diorama expertly captures the breadth of the assault rather than the depth. Although there were infantry who advanced in front of the tanks to draw fire and find targets for the tanks. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Brendan

I echo what Al said. Nice job on the groundwork. For those who may want to go the EZ approach (like me!), I see that Build A Rama has a matt for WWI.

Thanks Brendan,
Unfortunately my display case is restricted to the depth it is, therefore the troops has to go where they did.

Exceptionally well done Pete . . . . . like others have said, the ground work is wonderfully and artisticly created, as well as the barbed wire, cargo chains, and the added untrenching beams to your MK V's. I enjoyed every single photogrpah that you shared . . . . a great way for me to start my day.

Pete,
As others said, very realistic ground work. Your dio shows the size proportions of the monster tanks and infantry.

Wonderful dio Pete. Especially love your work on the unditching beams and Fascine - terrific stuff!

Cheers,

Thanks for all of your kind comments!
It's a cramped dio with all of the figures/vehicles on it, but it'll fit nicely in my IKEA Billy display cabinet.

I'm pleased with the 'add ons' such as the unditching beams and fascine. They're not perfect by any means...and I think they need some touching up doing, looking at the photos.

Like the intensity of the scene. As stated the terrain is excellent for a shelf display. The wood bundles are a nice touch, will consider some for mine, another job for my model maker man. All good Pete. Robin.

Thanks for sharing. Good to see an excellent WW1 diorama.
