Ever since I was a young boy, the Atlanta and Gettysburg Cycloramas have really grabbed me, both are so iconic, I've done the Gettysburg one previously, so now's the time to do the Atlanta one, recently finished a model of the Troop Hurt House, so here it is..................the topography is a bit off as there was a lot of dirt around the Troop Hurt House and I don't have a lot of pine trees, I did the best I could.............

My cousin went to Atlanta when he was a kid and viewed the cyclorama in person, there was a souvenir booklet in the gift shop depicting the cyclorama, he got me a copy, it's one of my most treasured items..............

Terrific work George. I like the 20mm little guys too.

Outstanding display, certainly a labour of love, the amount of time must be staggering to put this together.:salute:: , Robin.

Thanks Robin; a true labour of love for sure, took me most of Sunday to set it up, I had to muck around with it to get it to look as close as possible to the actual Atlanta Cyclorama from which it is based...............I think I captured it pretty well.............

George...
love your epic battles...
looks like 2,000 figures on that board...
very cool!

Thanks Mike; great eye, there are about 2000 figures on this layout give or take, I had to do a lot of tinkering to replicate the Atlanta cyclorama...........

Incredible George! The sheer scope of it is intense. That just looks amazing and must have been a blast to set up. It must have taken some time to acquire all of those nicely painted miniatures. Fantastic set up! That's great that you have the space for your awesome projects. Thanks for sharing, Joe

Having been to the Atlanta one I must say you did a great job George!

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you appreciate my collection, I love being able to do massive set ups in a smaller space............my ACW figures are superbly painted, I try to focus in on the nicer ones.....................

Thanks Dave; I've seen the Gettysburg one more times than I can count, I heard they refurbished and moved the Atlanta one to a new location, which is nice to hear, I need to see it at some point.................

I was really impressed with it and I’m not into ACW. Still it was great fun seeing it with a great friend of mine
