Not Lobau out of Hogans hero,s................ looks great George,man i wish i had the patients/skill to paint all those figures the end reward would be so worth it.I stuff up painting a wall in my house hate to see what i would do to one of these little figures.

The Prussians drive the French out of the town.........

With his possible retreat route threatened, Napoleon sends in the Young Guard, who drive the Prussians out of the village, but the Prussians reform and attack the village once again and was stopped, so they attacked a third time and the Young Guard was driven from the village with heavy losses........

At this point, Napoleon decides to send in two battalions of the Old Guard, who storm into the village, driving the Prussians out which stabilized Napoleons right flank...........

Wow George you have a whole town laid out looks good i like the hedges around the Church.
A great thing about having a collection of buildings like that is you can use them for both Naps & WW2.

The buildings, especially the church, are off the charts. Scale envy!

THanks Rob, Jeff and Louis; Rob, as you pointed out, the beauty of the buildings is they can be used for multiple periods. One period I am toying with is Franco Prussian, there is a company from the UK that makes 20mm figures for that period.

Jeff; yes, I probably do have the largest HH collection as I've got a French, Prussian and Austrian army, about 3,000 figures, imagine what I could sell them for if they were unpainted, they are worth a fortune based on Ebay prices. The church is scratch built, the buildings are all sold individually, they were mounted on a board and then the groundwork, hedges, fencing, etc, were all added.

Louis; always appreciate your complements, I guess I am the man for 20mm figures..........

That's a hell of a diorama George. There is a definite advantage to working with smaller scales, especially space wise.

Thanks Brad; you can do quite a lot with the 20mm scale, huge battles as you've seen by me in this section of the forum.

I love the 20mm stuff to say the least..............

George thats a great set up. I really like that village. I guess there will be no mass this Sunday in that town??? Nice church but I guess the frogs didn,t like it thats the only building they took out?
I see you,ve gotten around to digging out the Napoleonics and some nice dioramas by the way!

Waterloo is really an incredible battle; essentially four battles in one if you figure Hougomont, Plancenoit, the attacks on the allied center and the fighting around Papelotte..............

Yeah, I've got afew bits of 1/30th items hanging around....... Actually, I do a 1/30th set up about 30 times per year at the toy soldier shows, so there you go........
