The Durbar features all kinds of animals: elephants (of course), horses, camels, even cheetahs, but ignores the "Man's Best Friend". I started this thread to cure this obvious defect.

I love it, what great photos !!! and it is nice to see you taking snaps of the durbar again.

Andreas

Incredible set ups and photos. Did Ken make the palm tree? It is one of the best I have seen. You are a born vignette designer. Lots of visual interest.

Randy

Randy,

I wish Ken would do individual trees and palms - he unfortunately does not. These are by Gittens (JG) and available through Treefrog. And yes, I agree with you that these are the best palms - at least of those that I could find:

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for posting these excellent images.

I like the way your pictures project the shiny gloss of the figures.

Best, Raymond.

:)

Hi Andreas,

Most Excellent work sir!!!

I love the dog in the mix. Thanks for the great use of the BG sets and the palms are great too.

Dave

Prior to all the Durbar guests arriving and me having to dismantle my set-up, one more:

A nice little dio Andanna. The Beau Geste dogs are cute little devils aren't they. Wish you could buy them seperately.

...And the figures are as exquisite as any I've seen! BG has some of the best glossy painting as any!
Thanks Andanna for the pics!

Andreas

You have created a wonderfully illustrated adventure. You are fast becoming the UKREB of the Delhi Durbar. Your photo and scenic skills are awesome.

Randy

I just followed your link from dioramas and would like to echo the comments, absolutely superb photos, thank you for posting.

Very nice Andreas. Your dog is a true military mascot:)

Maybe, Randy. And maybe not. I would assume that a military mascot requires some discipline and obedience - two traits that Kaya appear to be lacking. :p

Therefore, let's take a second look:

This early 1900 postcard of Australia troops shows their mascot on the far left. A Kangaroo naturally.

There you go Beau Geste another quirky set.
