Background: 1945 the Russian forces had close a ring around Berlin, the fighting had finally come to Berlin and Hitler is discussing the defense of Berlin with his Generals and inner circle. The war in the west is about to draw to a close. Only one city more and the third reich will be cast down and the war will be over. That city is Berlin....

Hitler: We will drive back the Russians in the North and East with a stronfg assault! Steiner's division will attack from the North and try to unite with the
9th Army

Marshall Wilhem Keitel: My Fuhrer we are heavily outnumbered and Steiner's division is unable to move at all.

Hitler: Have Wenck support them then!

Konstatin Hierl marches in to the meeting to report that the RAD units have bolstered defenses around Berlin and that the Russians are already investing in Berlin

Konstatin Hierl:My Fuhrer, the Russians had engage our units around Berlin. The RAD units are ready to give their lives in defense of this City!

Himmler: The Russians are into the city....It looks like i have to contact the Allied High Command Eisenhower. We may work out a solution. They need my SS units to retain order in the city after the war..hmmm..

Robert Lay: The end is near. Berlin is going to fall. We got to prepare ourselves.

Hitler: Get Wenck! Get Steiner! Where are my Generals when i need them!

I just need a Traudl figure(Secretary) to finish this up.

Young man, Keep up the good work. You are breath of fresh air to us old guys. If you have the time see PA's Valkyrie thread. It is a story like you are doing. I like the stories with the dioramas.

You are an excellent addition to this forum my friend.

Ludwig

Shadowfox, I like how you did this up. Just about looks the way I did my "Bomb Plot" dio !!!! Large pictures in sequence and a little diorama script ! {bravo}}

Thanks. :) I had read your post on your "bomb plot dio" previously and really really like it thus I have the idea of doing a diorama based on the last days of the Battle of Berlin where Hitler met his generals and inner circle cronies to try and worked out a solution. But in their minds, they knew the war was already lost.

Thanks Shadowfax, You have plenty of characters there in your Berlin Dio. One of the nice things about many of these sets is they can be used in several different
scenarios and have a different effect to tell a story every time...

Panzer,
Are all these figures from K&C? I notice the bases are different. I would love to get my hands on this set. I love the Battle of Berlin stuff and "Downfall" is one of my favorite movies. I wish K&C would do a whole series on the fight for Berlin one day.

Late war scene, I guess too late for the bomb in the briefcase being slipped under the table, would have made a dent in this amount of brass though. Great collection. Cheers, Robin.

Very well done !
It's like watching the movie 'Downfall'-with toy soldiers. Keep up the great work.

I'm not Panzer, but yes all the figures are from K&C. 2/3rd of the figures are from the '38 Berlin range while the rest are from "Bomb Plot" set K&C released a while back. (See WS135, WS136, and WS137).

Shadowfax, nice little set you have going on there.
