With all this talk about Egypt and The Sudan at the moment, and it being my second favourite period to collect;), we in the UK will be spoilt tomorrow.

On MORE4 at 1045 they are showing the 1939 version of THE FOUR FEATHERS followed by STORM OVER THE NILE at 1650 on FILM4. Get you DVD recorders set.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Concur-two great movies-I'll rephrase that to almost "one" movie as most of the location shots including the final battle at Omdurman were taken directly from the '39 movie and slotted straight into the '55 version-but it still managed to deliver an exciting stiff British upper lip war movie.

Stirring schoolboy stuff that threw me headlong into reading any tome on British battles and military history.

Thanks for the heads-up, it'll get me in the mood for the forthcoming JJD figures. British squares, RMs, gatling guns and fuzzy wuzzies - superb!
