Nicely done Paul. I really enjoy desert themed displays. Looks like they have all the comforts of home, even a good source of water.

Great again. We love those buildings too. We have a lovely AK taking a village ourselves. The 8th Army is on shelves waiting to retake the town in this fluid campaign. Love what you're doing though. And your hits just keep comin'!
Best Wishes

Many thanks to all of you Paddy. I would love to see some photos 📸 Paddy of your scenes they sound fantastic 😀. All the best Paul

Best we can do right now is, if you check our albums/media, one of the earlier photos is of us (am I sober in that shot?..) from X-Mas 2010. But we got some more AK after that and added it. Then we took some away and put it on the floor under a very loose sheet, hoping to resurrect it. It's been almost 15 years since the opening... maybe an anniversary display is in order. We'll see, we are very busy.
Best wishes and please keep up the great work.

I will see if I can find it Paddy. Hopefully the anniversary will be around the corner soon 🙏. All the best Paul

Great set up, Paul! I have the earlier, wood, metal and resin version of many of these K&C Desert vehicles, as well as a few prototypes and master painted K&C desert vehicles (gifts from Andy), on display on 5 K&C dioramas. They are among my favorites.

Where as I guess most people are drawn to the SAS jeep, I've always liked the LRDG trucks, fascinating unit and what they did out in the desert, where there were several odd little units, Popski's, being another, trying to do similar work to both SAS / LRDG.

The book on Popski's Private Army is worth a read.

Anyway, loving all these little stories you're telling with your displays.

Steve,

I own the book on Popski's Private Army, as well as the book written by the Adjutant of the LRDG. The LRDG are one of my favorite regiments. One of the coolest things my son and I enjoyed seeing at the Imperial War Museum two summers ago was an LRDG 30 CWT Truck which was shiny from having all the paint sandblasted off it by 40 years in desert sandstorms when I first saw it back in the late 1990's but rusty this time. Andy was kind enough to give me the prototypes of the newer polystone LRDG Chevy trucks because I hunted down, purchased and sent him the Tamiya 1:32 scale model he needed to help him detail his version.
