I thought I'd start a thread to show off my own Coronation Parade for my collection before settling in to watch the 'real thing' on TV today.

The Gold Coach isn't to scale, and it is from the late Queen Elizabeth's Coronation in 1953.
My Uncle and Aunt got from a cake at their own street party in London and sent to their 'little nephew in Australia' and I've had to play with for 70 years !!!!

Has anyone else has a parade to show off ????

God Save The King !!!!!!

There's always a few parades going on here, but this morning I can't keep my eyes off of the TV! Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity for toy soldier people to finally get 4 hours of quality programming!

God Save The King !!

And 12,000* cheers from his troops :)

* 3 cheers from 4000 troops on the back lawn of Buckingham Place.

Great ceremony. Lovely. Made us bring out some old bands & ceremonial figs.
God Save The King!

Hi Guys,

Like many of you here today... Who doesn't like a big parade...?
At K&C and speaking personally, I certainly do!
I was fortunate to watch the entire Coronation ceremony and parade on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Proof again that the British Forces really know how to put on a great show.

So, here's a little look-back at a few recent K&C parades our own Ceremonial Soldiers have taken part in...

'By the centre quick march!'

All the best to all of you and our new King... 'God Save The King!'
Andy
