Wondering what others are thinking about this new series. For me would have liked a little bigger than 54mm. Some interesting figures, the Monk on a donkey and the supply wagon. Robin.

Well so far not much interest in the line it seems. There are several items I may get to test the water so to speak. Robin.

Love the concept. Just have to see them in person. Blackhawk uses those Andrea stylized photos so I like to see the real deal before buying.

Just ordered a couple, will let you know what I feel about them when they are released. My concerns they will be on the small size, given I want to blend them with my 60mm. Robin.

If it's any consolation,BH has enough of medieval ranges to fill a standalone display of their figures. Look very tempting to me. {sm2}

Nice idea to do a Lance which was similar to platoon in medieval times. Basically a knight and his entourage that made up this small section of soldiers. Great idea, something I have thought of doing for a long time,my idea came from the Funcken books but never got around to it. Well done Andrea.:salute::

A most interesting subject for me. Really like it.
This is one of the occasions where I really would appreciate to have a Toy Soldier dealer in town or somewhat close by, so I can go over there and see them "eye to eye" before ordering.

Here are some pics from the web, so everyone knows what we are talking about.

I have ordered 2 sets of the dogs...their smaller scale size won't matter...

After doing more research through my set of Funcken books "The age of chivalry" it appears Andrea have based this set on an illustration from part 2 certainly the squire leading his masters horse and the knight on his palfrey are direct from the book. What great idea and a great set of figures.

Here's another promotional picture.
I am sure a group like that would make a fine display.

I gave some of their medieval figures a try.
Here are two figures from the "Tournament" line.
A Noble and his son, who are awaiting the arrival of "The Lance" ^&grin
I really like that "The Boy" is actually well sculpted as a young kid.

Nicely done figures, and now I have plans to expand over the next couple of months.
Got a good idea for scenics too, to display them properly, but will elaborate about that later :wink2:

For a collector who is fine with the 1/32 or 54mm scale, which I am, I really believe that Black Hawk is a good choice.
Of course, that is depending not only on the scale, but most of all on the subject matter.
I very much prefer "non combat" scenes and the "Tournament" and "The Lance 1330's" apply to that just perfectly.

So, let's see how it will work out :smile2:

Happy Collecting!

Very happy with the 3 I recieved. Size will blend in with my ECW series I am about to collect. I have the wagon, donkey and dogs. Looking forward to surrounding the upcoming King Charles the first with the dogs, very appropriate. Happy to post photo if anyone would like. Robin.

Robin

Sure will appreciate any pics you can share ... Especially if they are alongside some other figures of different makes.

All the goodies in the wagon ... can these be moved ?

Hi OD,
Always difficult to line up sizes in photos, but feel they are close enough to blend in. The wagon is loaded down with supplies, but fixed in. Glad to have them for my upcoming ECW series. Robin.
