The Long Riders is another one of my favorites. Especially the period style music. Clever idea to use all the brother combinations to recreate the historical characters. -- Al

The casting accurately emphasised the clannish nature of the Old South. The movie script was co-written by Bill Bryden (a Brit no less ^&confuse) and Steve Smith (later producer of the TV series Tour of Duty) if you listen carefully the dialogue between the sets of brothers clearly reflects the post Vietnam-post counter-culture blues. Great movie, great director and all wrapped up in a Ry Cooder soundtrack.

" Ah h**l. We played a rough game...and we lost."

I have to throw some love for "The Quick and the Dead", with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone. Filmed with all the Sergio Leone cliché close ups. I still watch this one every time it's on.
Sharon Stone has never looked hotter....................................................^&grin

I just saw "Extreme Prejudice" starring Nick Nolte recommended by Martyn and Al. A very gritty and graphic shoot-em-up movie. Entertaining!
