I liked the first episode. I know nothing about the underlying video game, but it had a lot of the energy and themes missing from TWD. A bit of "Dawn of the Dead" meets "28 Days Later." Didn't like the big jump in time, though. There was more background story there with the original outbreak. Maybe they will "circle back" to that as they say these days at the White House.

I'm four episodes in and the show is entertaining. It seems more real to me than TWD which went off the rails. Also well acted. I did groan, however, when they ran into the group with a female leader. The ghosts of many TWD plots. Hopefully they keep this show to only a couple of seasons.

My son played the game and he said that the show has been more or less faithful to the game but he says that the female leader is not in the game. He also said that season 1 re-enacts the first game while season 2 will re-enact the second game.

I've watched all 5 episodes and liked them all. Can't compare to game as I have never played it.

Episode 5 was excellent. Not to spoil it but TWD would have milked the KC angle/group for an entire season. This show dealt with it quickly and moved on.

I'm loving The Last of Us. Best show on TV. Apparently I'm a huge Pedro Pascal fan...This is the Way...

The episode 6 preview looked like a western-themed story. Almost Deadwood.

Somehow I was counting the episodes wrong. I was thinking 4 was 5 and 5 was 6. Sunday's episode was great.Looking forward to #6

Overall not a bad show. It was fast paced. Every episode would have been drawn out for an entire season on The Walking Dead. No moralizing or speeches. It would have been nice to have a few more episodes, but that is the trap of TV. It consumes an enormous amount of material and quickly wears thin.

I'll tell you what that Joel comes across as a good guy but he is a cold blooded killer. No mercy from him.{eek3}

The show mostly follows the games. The first season tracked the first one and season two will track the second.

Late 2024 or even 2025 for the next season! Wow. That is a long time to wait.

Yes and House of the Dragon is June 2024 at the earliest. It's hard to keep interest in shows that come out every couple years or longer, especially when there are only 8-10 episodes.
