When I started pulling my toy soldiers out of storage in May 2016, it soon became apparent to me that there was a whole box of missing soldiers somewhere. From time to time, I will see figures posted on the forum or on eBay that jog my memory of the days when I had similar figures in my collection. As far as I can tell, here is what might be missing:

Trophy Pathans, maybe 12-20 figures
Trophy British Maxim gun crew ( I still have the machine gun, just no crew)
Dorset Mounted Camel Corps - 20 figures
Dorset dismounted Camel Corps

Steadfast artillery including 4 regular sized cannon and 4 screw gun batteries.

There might be more, but this is what I can recall.

I have looked high and low throughout the house but have yet to turn up the missing box. My figures had been packed away through two house moves since 1995 and while 3 boxes were found, the one remains missing. It might be stashed away somewhere in the bowels of the basement, but methinks that it got lost during one of the house moves.i can only imagine what happened to it. On the plus side, most of my favorite Trophy figures survived to see the light of day.

I feel your pain, Jim. I've moved my collection 3 times over the years, and I am missing the entire crew of the Trophy Union Gunboat Eagle, as well as half the crew of the Trophy Nile River Steamer Victoria. I know they must be in a box somewhere in this house, but I just can't figure out where!

There is more than set that I wish were missing, packed away and lost..They were impulse buys..:redface2:Michael

Oh frabjous joy, I found some of the lost Trophy figures! I was cleaning out my figure storage room and noticed an old Trophy white box with self stick label on the top shelf. I wasn't expecting to find anything figuring that the box was being used to store other figures. When I opened it up, there were 17 Pathans and a khaki Maxim gun crew that had been missing.

I,still have not found all of my Steadfast artillery sets or the 20 or so Dorset Camel Corps, but I am happy now that I have the Pathans once again.

Know the feeling. You know you have the item, but it just eludes you. I have some MIA figures and accessories which continually fustrate me. I have even gone in some cases to buying the item again, just cannot be bothered about thinking about it anymore, just an easier option. Makes me angry at times that I do not put more care in the first place of where they should logically be stored. Worse things in life I guess. Robin.
