Re: “Sick of Nazi Crap!”

Hi Guys,

Our old pal Kingtoot, in his eagerness for Pacific War, is now telling us he’s “sick of Nazi Crap!”

Phew! Thank goodness that K&C does not just produce “NAZI Crap” but also… “Ancient Egyptians”… “Crusaders & Saracens”… “American Revolution”… “Napoleonics”… “First World War”… “Assorted Chinese Figures”… “US Navy & Marines” (pre war)… “Various British, American, French, Polish, Australian, New Zealanders, and Indians in WW2” plus other bits ‘n’ bobs!!!

Kingtoot wants “blazing banzai charges and Aussies and Marines fighting back!”

Well, that seems, simple enough… Now if I just get rid of that Nazi crap Jagdtiger I’ve been working on and piece of crap JU87 Stuka (and a few other pieces) I’ll get right on to it… pronto!

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

Made my day more "Nazi crap" to go with the rest of my "Nazi crap"cant wait.............:D

WOW!! I really got people excited here!! You all ought to be thanking me for stirring up a hornet's nest. As far as more Nazi crap, sign me up for a stuka, I'll slap some meatballs on the wings...

I was hot on this subjest a while back but got disappointed after so many people said the same thing, they don't sell..obviously people want Pacific theater stuff, they keep bringing it up. I am sick of Nazi crap..I want blazing banzai charges with Marines fighting back, Aussies fighting back. I'm saving my money for when somebody breaks the mold and comes out with it all. A few important vehicles but mainly soldiers in combat poses..George - what company sold Tarawa walls and accessories? I converted my ONWTC GIs to Tarawa Marines and need a logwall for them..semper fi

I met the the guy who made them at the big Chicago show one year, his name was Gary and he did beautiful stuff; kingtoot, you had to see the seawall to believe it. They were on 1 foot by 1 foot tiles with the water leading up to the wall then the sand after that.

There was a breached wall section, an intact wall section, a section with the famous pier on it, and a end cap piece with a bunker on it. You could make it as long as you wanted by adding pieces to either end.

Shoot me an email at gguerriero@msn.com and I will hunt the guy down for you. He was going to make more stuff, then he slipped through the cracks, but I know a couple of dealers who can get me his contact information for you.

The Hobby Bunker makes a nice japanese pillbox with log walls in front if it, plus Custom Dioramics used to make a jaw dropping 2 foot by 2 foot display base with the seawall on it, it was incredible, I sold several of them back when K & C launched the next wave of Pacific items, specificially the Amtrac they did in camo.............

PS Field Marshall Slim was commander in the Burma campaign and ended up as Governor General of Australia in the 1950's.

Brett,
And if I am not mistaken, there initially was some resentment that this high office was held by a non Australian, but his attributes and personality soon won over those who were against this, correct?

Go to TSSD,s site, they are reproduceing all the seawall pieces in foam and at a less expensive price. According to Nick (TSSD) they should be available by the West Coast Show.
I will be getting them.

George,
Yes Slim very highly regarded here. He was the 3rd last non Aussie Gov General. The last one was

William Philip Sidney, 1st Viscount De L'Isle VC KG GCMG GCVO KStJ PC (23 May 1909 – 5 April 1991), was the 15th Governor-General of Australia and the last one who was British. He was a descendant of King William IV by his mistress Dorothea Bland.

He won his VC at ANZIO and was married to Lord Gorts daughter.

In later life, when asked where he had been shot, he would jocularly respond that he was shot in Italy. This was to conceal the fact that he had, in fact, been shot in the buttocks.

Re: “Kingtoot’s toot at K&C”

ANDY....ANDY....ANDY Dont get so excited, you are going to
forget what you are suppose to be making for me. Have a good day,
Sometimes a guy has to do, what he has to do. You keep us
amazed with your products. THANK YOU.

Re: “Kingtoot’s toot at K&C”

Well what a interesting debate we have had with Japanese soldiers. It got off track a little but that is normal and Andy himself got involved.Maybe one day soon K&C might just throw another go at the Pacific war .With his creative juices flowing you just never no when they will turn back to the Pacific campaign.Simmo.

Andy mentioned some of his ranges "plus other bits ‘n’ bobs!!!"

The bit n bobs he missed out were :
The Life of Jesus,
The Alamo
The Real West
American Civil War
Sons of Empire.
and lets not forget the Crimean series for K&C UK
and Diorama items.

I have not counted recently but I think the K&C inventory is now over 1,000 current items covering air, land and sea and spanning 2,000 years of history.

However I won't be satisfied until K&C does the War of the Golden Stool (I am not making this one up !!) which is my particular favourite after the 3rd Ashanti War :D:D

Hi Guys,
Re my friend “Old Tanks” advice to “not get so excited”… Everyday I get excited!… I’m (in my opinion) the luckiest guy in the world, I get to make all the toy soldiers, tanks, vehicles, airplanes, landing craft I ever wanted as a kid… but couldn’t afford or weren’t available at the time.
Isn’t that worth getting excited about? And so, if and when, some folks tell me “I must do this or K&C must do that” or describe some of our work as “Nazi crap” I like to answer back and tell ‘em why we don’t do this or don’t do that.
Oh well, as I usually say to myself… c’est la vie… c’est la guerre.
Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

I hope that everybody here understands..I love K&C's work..It is the best available. Most of my collection is K&C..I just wish that the sales did justify more Pacific Theater sets- preferrably US Marines and Japanese soldiers. Understandably a European war has more European collectors as well. I dont have just any Marines in my collection - K&C only..just wish there were more to own, that's all.. Andy - consider my idea of Adolf and Eva seated on the sofa in the bunker..You did one of Heydrich's assassination, maybe do a series of all of them getting theirs in the end...
