the new collection 2009 of W. Britain (2 Viewers)

I think Ken said they will be going out shortly, they are still at the printers.

Hello All,
The 2009 Winter catalogues are indeed still at the printers. They should be going out in the next week or so. Ken & I eagerly await the catalogue, so I too feel like an extra in an old ketchup commercial, anticipation...
All the best,
Ericka

For those that are interested, you might want to take a look at the upcoming release section at the Treefrog store to see many of the new items that are in the catalog. There is a great new addition to the Napoleonic range, the new AZW items and several new ACW sets.
There is more in the catalog beyond this too!

Already had a peek Ken, the new Zulu sets look stunning. The petticoats are very nice also. I think Ellen is my favourite, closey followed by Sarah & Marie

The Zulu sets look great as does the new Black Watch figures.

I must confess that Britains are really beginning to appeal to me with their improving scuplts and paint schemes. I own a relatively small collection of britains by comparison to K&C, but i've always warmed up to their Napoleonic range.

Now with First Legion raising the benchmark for that period (which they'll most likely put a dent im my bank balance when their Napoleon staff set is released, among other things), Britains are not necessarily better or worse. They are simply unique, just like all other manufacturers and their products.

I generally tend to look for more of the positive, good and merit in something. So on that note, the new stuff is looking nice indeed. My favourite will have to
be British 42nd (Black Watch) Highlander Kneeling Priming Pan #1
36029

With 8 seperate poses available for your squares at that price, you can't go wrong.

Really wonderful sculpts and original ideas...the confederate commanders, Lincoln, Bromhead & Chard , the AWI command set...and the beautiful french cavalry (both Napoleonic and WWI)!Really outstanding work Ken!!!!!!!

What a great looking line up. Love the looks of the new Black Watch figures. Really looking forward to the new catalog now. :)

Ken, Richard,
great figures throughout. Congratulations to all those fine upcoming releases.
In TF's "upcoming releases" section the Museum Collection icon is up too but there are no photos. Are they not posted yet or are there no new releases as of now?
However, there is plenty of other stuff to strangle the wallet ;)

Hi Ken and Richard,
THe new products are fantastic! I love the British 42nd (Black Watch) Highlander Standing Loading #1, the stance and facial expression are great!
Best wishes,
Benjamin

Thank You!
Richard Walker, Alan Ball and I, along with all of our painters, moldmakers, photographers, and graphics people have been working hard to bring you these new additions and catalog.
We are already hard at work on the next go around with small additions to everything for the Spring flyer. This will include additional figures for the Highland square, AZW, Museum collection, ACW and of course...our Classic Gloss ranges.
We are always looking forward to hearing suggestions for additions too.
All the Best!

They're there now. Black Watch 'Pipes and Drums'

Just had another look more new additions OH wow I think I am on overload. The heritage series looks great to I have always enjoyed the Britains foxhunt and these will fit right in with my vintage farm pieces.

The Durbar elephant looks amazing. The only thing is the price. I realise it is all metal but that is a lot of coin and may stop me from collecting that series. We will see how it pans out though. Where there is a will there is a way. :D perhaps bread and water for a few weeks LOL

Great stuff Ken and I think for the most part everything seems very reasonably priced and the way the sets are configured certainly gives us some interesting choices to build up the troops or just collect a few figures.

Thanks all at WB !!!!!

It all looks great! Those Petticoats are very attractive too. WB has certainly come along way in increasing the quality of their products. What else can we expect for the AWI in 2009 in addition to the command set?
